Welcome to Monday’s Mewsic Moves Me on Sunday!
This month’s new-comer honorary co-hostess, 🎶Robin from Songbird’s Crazy World🎶 did a songsational job and to finish out October here is her last theme Songs of the season. You can celebrate Halloween, or autumn, or both. Are you ready to dance?
Flightless Bird, American Mouth by Iron & Wine is one I’ve shared on the dance floor in the past but when I think of autumn I think of birds flying south. I picked several songs with ‘autumn’ in the title Autumn Song by Manic Street Preachers, Autumn’s Not That Cold by Flashback, Autumn Change by September, and Forever Autumn by Lake of Tears. This season brings weather changes as indicated with these song tracks: Northern Wind by City & Colour and Colder Weather Zac Brown Band. Bloom by The Paper Kites really doesn’t say anything about the change of season other than it casts a lazy mellow mood I often equate with autumn.
October screams autumn’s presence, especially as the month winds down as it is now. Our colors are just beginning to peak here in the Tennessee Valley with Halloween a matter of days away which draws my mind to include a few songs for those who love to celebrate the season with The Boogie Monster (Gnarls Barkley), Ghost In This House (Alison Krauss), & Love Song For A Vampire (Annie Lennox).
While I compiled my unique autumn theme playlist, I stumbled on YTer Lindsey Holiday’s Vintage Autumn songs playlist.
Please read…this is a mewsic linky party, which means all participates are sharing songs that one can listen to from YouTube or Vimeo and a not a post about mewsic or mewsicians. Failure to meet this basic guideline puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.
It’s now time to join the 4M dance party!
ATTENTION!!! Would you like to be an honorary co-host? If so, shoot me an email or leave me a comment saying ‘YES, sign me up!’ and I’ll secure the next available month for you then send you the details.

All month-long, I’ve joined in with Mary from Jingle Jangle Jungle in her 2nd Rocktober Music Fest.  In keeping with my general theme, here’s a 70s rock song by The Edgar Winter Group, Autumn (1972).
