Good morning, Kittens and Dawgs! I’m taking things slow in Blogosphere, not quite so quick to push my posts live. There are a lot of folks skipping the whole bloggy thing inleu of doing the whole summer thingies like vacations and a variety of activities that keep them outdoors instead of inside all the time. That’s purrrfectly fine. We all need time away doin’ our thang to get our mojo back in order to bring our A-game to blogging community.
We tried two new pizzerias in town. Actually, they aren’t new but this was our first experience with these long running establishments — Little Joe’s Pizza in Farragut and Harby’s Pizza & Deli just off Broadway. I really wanted these places to wow me but the best I can say is their good for a change and we’ll probably get pizza from these places again. However, neither one can replace our favorite, Pizza Hut! How was your weekend?
Here’s a random Monday morning photo share. 🙂
This week’s mewsic theme is ‘your choice‘. I put together a 5 newly introduced or stumbled-upon tunes for your listening pleasure. I hope you enjoy my song selections!
- I Hope You’re Happy ~ Blue October (<—-YT channel link) newest single released earlier this year. According to their website they have plans to release an album sometime this year with the same name.
- Flightless Bird, American Mouth was used in the Twilight movie series and appears on Iron & Wine (Neo-Folk) 2007 album, The Shepherd’s Dog. The bands mewsic has played on popular TV shows like Gray’s Anatomy, The L Word, and House M.D.
- Gypsy Girl from Steven Tyler’s 2016 #19 début album, WE’RE ALL SOMEBODY FROM SOMEWHERE on Billboard 200 charts and debuted #1 on the Top Country Albums chart. Yet, I didn’t hear it for the first time somewhere around the end of last summer or early fall.
- What Took You So Long released in 2001 from Emma Bunton (Spice Girl band member) solo album, A GIRL LIKE ME.
- Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop comes from Landon Pigg (Indie Pop) 2009 THE BOY WHO NEVER album but previous used in two TV commercials: De Beers and AT&T. Pigg’s earlier career starts with his song featuring on Grey Anatomy’s 6th season finale, This Is The Way It Ends.
#2 on my playlist…DD#2 introduced to us In March when she came home for my FIL funeral. We took her and DS to dinner. On our way home, she shared this song from her iTunes playlist. It’s great fun when our kids share their mewsical discoveries. All the others selections I stumbled upon in recent days or months usually from my YT browsing. What did you think of my mewsic selections? Are these new-to-you? Do you like any of these well enough to buy?
Colette is experiencing eye problems and isn’t actively co-hosting but you might find her boogieing with us occasionally. I asked that you continue to keep her in prayer. Right now, I want you join fellow co-hosts: XmasDolly (Party Coordinator), Stacy, Alana, and this month’s co-host, Michelle, on the dance floor (ONLY link mewsic posts). Let’s get this party started!
