Evergreen Wreath

For this Christmas season, I will try to make an evergreen wreath like this.

Okay, mine won’t look precisely like this grand, beautiful presentation. I will have to scale it down to a smaller version to fit my front door.

Let’s get started, shall we?

In the late fall, I bought this small wreath frame at Hobby Lobby and some floral wire (images compliments from Hobby Lobby’s site, as I forgot to snap a picture.).

From Amazon, I bought several kinds of wired ribbon. This is the one I using….

To learn how to make a pretty bow for your ribbon,  you may want to watch this YouTube video.

Now, let’s put it together perhaps something like this.

I used evergreen clippings from the tree taken down earlier in the month and red berries (I’m clueless to what kind they are, do you know what these are?) from our backyard and…. ta-dah!

Not exactly like the wreath I found photographed on the net and I have yet to put the bow on because…well, my allergies drove me nuts! But, for my first attempt, I’m rather pleased.

1.  Do you buy evergreen wreaths for your front door or windows for Christmas (local or mail-order)?

2.  Have you ever made or do you make your own evergreen wreaths?

Bonus: Any special tips with how to do this job perfectly?
