An Old Wagon Wheel by the Fence TAD

Rain’s art prompt this week is wheel. I love seeing vintage wagon wheels used in landscaping whether purposely placed or left forgotten.  Here is my Procreate illustration.

I felt hurried to complete my drawing as I wanted to get this post done before DH’s dental appointment yesterday.  The imperfections are bothersome to look at so, I used Brushstrokes to smooth things over with two different painting effects.

The app is a wonderful tool to turn your photos or sketches into painting-like  images.  I love the texture it adds.  However, the down side is the app can’t replicate small details like on the kitty’s face.  The features get lost but still I love playing with it and generally the overall results!

I’ve been busy in the kitchen making some special things for DH in preparation for his dental work.  One of the things I fixed for him is homemade chocolate pudding.

Next week, I’ll share the recipe for the pudding and tell you more about what I’ve been cooking!😉

I’m thankful that everything went very well yesterday at DH’s dentist appointment.  It took 4½ hours to complete the work. We were told 5 hours so we saved half an hour.

I’m thankful that we were spared any misfortune when a driver on the interstate had serious problems with his car. DH said he could see in the rearview mirror that it had some damage on the driver’s front side and the tire was flying apart.  The exit we took, he also took, and he came barreling past us. I could see the driver’s frontend was crushed up near the wheel wheel, trim sticking out, and smoke coming from somewhere. It smelled like hot rubber.   He was driving too fast in heavy traffic.  He cut someone off dangerously close and hit the vehicle in front of him when the traffic light turned red. Both drivers pulled through the light to tend to things.  We were safe, though. I’d really like to know what was going on with this person’s car, though.

I’m very thankful my sister got good news on a medical test recently.

DH goes in today for a short follow up visit with the dentist so that he can make sure all the temporary crowns on his upper arch are okay.  Tomorrow, I’ll be back with a new edition of FFO.  Feel free to pop in for a visit!  Have a doodletastic day!
