but first let me share with you the picture above from a scanned photograph taken with my old Nikon 35mm point n’ shoot camera, This is DD#1, taken about a month before her baby sister in 1990. One of our family traditions was that I made blueberry pancakes on Saturday mornings, not every Saturday but a number of them. This little varmint loved blueberries and so she’d push a chair over to the sink, climb up, and eat the blueberries while I made breakfast. I allowed her to sneak a few nibbles before I gingerly chided her, reminding her if she ate all of mommy’s blueberries then we couldn’t have blueberry pancakes. She was a good kid. August and sweet blueberries go hand in hand, don’t you think?
This weekโs 4M theme is your choice song picks, however I put together a 10 song playlist featuring blueberry and August titled songs. I hope you enjoy! ๐

In last week’s battle, Do You Want To Know A Secret showdown, Sharon Clark came out really strong. It became clearly early on that she would certainly win this round. I began to think the scale would severely tipped to one side but Nikki Jean-Verve pulled together some good numbers and in the end the vote count was far closer than I first anticipated with SHARON CLARK edging out her competition by one vote (8 to 7)!
I will leave you with another sample of Sharon’s bluesy sound from her 1997 album, Finally. <—link to YT playlist]
If you have time another song on Sharon’s Finally album I enjoyed is track number 8, III Wind. Thanks to everyone who voted in this battle. I’ll be back with another BoTB on Tuesday, Sept. 1st and I hope you’ll join me. That’s a wrap for now. Have a boogietastic week! X๐X๐, Cathy
