On the weekends, you will not find me in Blogosphere. This is my time to spend with my DH, but it doesn’t stop my participation in the A-Z Challenge. I will make my rounds to all who land here and leave some blog love in my comments today.
This week I showed you the beautiful Smoky Mountains from the Cades Cove valley. Let me share with you the quaint homes left in the shadow of those hills.
The next few are photos I took shortly after getting my big girl camera in 2012. I failed to shoot these during my trips to the cove but wanted you to see all the quaint homes around the one-way loop road.
This little niche resting in the valley of the Smoky Mountains sparks the imagination in wondering how life was in those days. Accessibility to, modernization of, and advancement in medicine today has improved our life and we are living longer than ever before, but life was hard in the hills. Many of the grave markers in the cove show that adults didn’t live beyond their 30s. Common illnesses were lethal. A quaint community, a quaint way of life, but one I am happy to just visit for the day.
Thank you for taking time out of your weekend in hopping over to listen to the music! I hope you enjoyed your stroll through time. Would you be happy living in the early pioneer days? Did you enjoy your visit? I hope you enjoyed it so much that you cannot wait to tell your friends. Go ahead, show some blog love. Click the share (Facebook, Twitter, Google+) button! You know you wanna. 🙂
Have a songsational Saturday!
