I really, really, really like you, kittens and dawgs! I don’t need a song to say this, but you gotta admit it’s kinda nice, right? Anywho, last week Carly Rae Jepsen performed her newest little ditty (released this past March) on DWTS and it was my first time hearing it. It has a throwback 80s style to it, don’t you think? It hit my sweet music spot ~ catchy, fun, and it made me wanna dance oh, yeah! You, too? Well, I’m here to tell you, I do believe this track will be this summer’s anthem, don’t you?
Let’s keep the party going! Don’t forget to link up and join the fun at XmasDolly. I hope you don’t mind when I say, it’s time to shut up and dance with me! 😉
My ears perked when I heard this song by Walk the Moon. I spend a lot of time listening to music streamed from the internet. Although, I don’t consider myself an alternative rock fan, I thought why not give iTunes Weekly Top 50 ~ Alternative station a whirl? I’m glad I did. I found this band and a few other artists to share with you.
Fall Out Boy popped up while I listened. While I’ve heard the name, I couldn’t honestly say I knew a single song title by them until “Centuries” played, but it wasn’t until I went to YouTube I found another familiar track by this group.
“Immortals” was written and recorded by FOB for the 2014 Disney animation Big Hero 6. This YouTube video has gotten more 33M views so far and according to Wackipedia,… “Immortals” sold 25,000 downloads and peaked at # 9 on the US Billboard Hot Rock Songs and #1 on the US Bubbling Under Hot 100 the week-ending November 29, 2014. That’s impressive.
By the time I listened to iTunes Alternative Rock radio station for a couple of hours, I decided maybe I am more of a fan than I thought. Now, I need your help. Like Number 5 (Short Circuit 1986) would say, Need input! Tell us, are you an alternative rock fan? If so, what is your favorite alternative rock song/artist?
Participating in last month’s A2Z challenge set the gears in my head in motion to do things different here on Curious as a Cathy. I haven’t fine tuned things yet, but soon changes are coming. I invite you to join my email subscription, so you won’t miss a single new post.
Thanks for sharing this dance today with me and until next time, have a tunetastic week!
