Good morning, Kittens and Dawgs! It’s fabulous to see you! Can you believe it’s Labor Day? If you’re in the United States then you might be enjoying this day off with your family and it’s sorta noted as the unofficial end of summer. The months are slipping by purrrty darn fast, aren’t they?
(I dedicated this song to the working class around the globe “A Hard Days Night” ~ The Beatles)

This week’s theme is “your choice“. I got to thinking about whatever happened to Peter Frampton when I shared one of his popular mid-70s hits “Show Me the Way” last month.
Today is going to be a throwback to bell bottoms and tie-dyed tee shirts with more of Frampton’s classic 70s tunes, mingled with new-to-me releases by the artist. Are you ready to groove to some mewsic?
Â
Peter’s mewsic love affair is a long-running one beginning at the early of 12. Up until recently, I learned that Frampton is from across the pond. I don’t know how it is I didn’t know this then. I’m a strange one, I just though all the mewsic I loved originated in the good ole U.S. of A! lol Anywho, where was I…oh yeah, back to Peter’s early career. He did gain childhood success as a lead singer and guitarist scoring several British pop hit as a band member of The Herd. He wrote most of the songs from the groups first and only album, Lost Paradise. I Don’t Want Our Loving To Die is band’s most popular hit songs, peaking at #5 in the UK. I thought it was fun to read Peter was named “The Face of 1968” by Rave Magazine (for teenagers). I recall having a slight crush on him in the mid-70s. Frampton became disappointed with the failure of “Sunshine Cottage” and his teen status later in ’68 and broke away from The Herd to form Humble Pie with Steve Marriott. Source: Wikipedia
There’s no denying that Frampton is one pAwesome guitarist. What I did not know until now is his contributions to other artists’ songs like the late David Bowie China Girl (1987), a song I remember. Here’s a bit of fun trivia. David Bowie’s art teacher in London was none other than Peter Frampton’s dad. That’s how the two became acquainted. 🙂 Source: The Top 10 Best Songs Peter Frampton Songs
Peter’s fast rise to stardom didn’t last. His career suffered some sharp setbacks including a horrific car accident in the Bahamas in 1978 that almost cost him his life but he continued to write mewsic and play even though I didn’t know it then again, I’m not the best person at keeping up with who’s in and who’s out in the industry. Purrrsonally, I think it’s mewvelous that he didn’t give up. I will leave you with his latest song, I Saved a Bird Today, as well as his last two albums from 2014 and 2016 for your enjoyment.

Which do you prefer, a young or distinguished Peter Frampton? Honestly, I like his look of now over yesterday! 😉

Marie’s daughter reports on FB last week that Marie is still in the hospital and hadn’t moved to the therapy facility yet due to her heart fluctuating during and after her procedure. Marie is wearing a heart monitor for the doctor’s to observe what’s going on with her ticker and has some sharp pain in her leg but her back is feeling better. There are some other issues the doctor is watching before he releases her to the therapy hospital. Keep those prayers going. God knows everything before we do, so kindly ask our heavenly Father to keep Marie in His tender care and make her well again.
Although XmasDolly (Party Coordinator) wants to be boogieing with us, I know she’s on the dance floor with us in the spirit of things but the rest of the cast is already on the floor warming up to their ‘yourchoicesongpicks‘ with Stacy, Alana, Colette (taking semi-blog hiatus due to eye issues), and this month’s honorary co-host little ole ME!

In last week’s theme, I used ‘coffee’ as my beverage song choices. My good pal, Debbie dropped by and mentioned she wrote a coffee parody song and I thought I’d invite y’all to check it out, here. Keep those tunes playing, your body swaying, and I’ll be boogieing over to see you soon.
