Each week, I participate in the Hoo Are You meme. Thanks for hosting, Leslie! It’s a fun way of getting better acquainted with some of my blogging friends. You’re welcome to join the fun, too. Here Leslie’s questions this week:
- How did you spend the 4th of July?
There hasn’t been a 4th of July where the weather didn’t misbehave just a bit. We had some thunderstorms and wind, which knocked our power out for an hour. Luckily, by 3pm it came back on and we were good to go from that point forward. We enjoyed grilled hamburgers & hot dogs, which I had prepared on Friday evening, while we watched many of the televised festivities – A Capital Fourth, Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, & WBIR’s coverage of fireworks.
- What was a couple of your favorite things you ate for the 4th of July?
As always, the grilled hamburgers & hot dogs. This is really a delicious treat.
- Did you watch fireworks?
Absolutely!
- What is your favorite firework?
One of my favorites is when they shoot fireworks over the side of a bridge, which looks like a waterfall cascading over the edge – very nice!
- How hot was it where you were for the 4th?
I believe it was in the 80s yesterday. It was quite warm, but not as hot as some past Independence Days. Of course, I kept to the inside where the AC was running non-stop until the electricity went off. Thankfully at which time it wasn’t too bad because the rain cooled the temperature off.
