1000 Reasons To Be Thankful (71-80)

There are so many gifts given to us each day.  I have failed to write each blessing down from the start of my 1000 Reasons To Be Thankful series, but at the start of each week, I do reflect on the gifts the Lord has bestowed upon me.  Thus, this is what I am thankful for…

71.  Being home on Friday to shut the water off beneath our sink when the water filter housing cracked.

72.  The opportunity my son had in attending his first homeschool high school prom this weekend.

73. My son’s friend who was able to join him at the prom.

74. Being of service to a friend.

75. Cornerstone Dental (Dr. Joe Griffon) for working with us, as we get my DH’s dental repairs taken care of.

76.  The beautiful sunny weather returning over the weekend.

77.  The sense of wonder and freedom which fills me every spring.

78.  The extended daylight hours that fills me entire being with joy.

79.  All the love I continue to feel for my DH. It just seems to grow more and more year after year.

80.  Honeysuckle scent in the breeze, the aroma of wild roses growing on vines, the smell of freshly cut grass in the morning, and the smoky scent of wood being burned.

Lyrics:
We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love is way too much to give us lesser things

‘Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt your goodness, we doubt your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long we’d have faith to believe

‘Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not our home
It’s not our home

‘Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise
What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy
What if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are your mercies in disguise
