SWF: Howard H. Baker Jr, Federal Courthouse (Knoxville, TN)

It’s Friday! And…it’s a holiday weekend to boot. Whoo-hoo! I am so looking forward to a little relaxing with my DH. I wonder what we can get ourselves into this long weekend? Hmmm, I’ll have to ponder on those thoughts for a moment. Meanwhile, it’s time to visit fellow shutterbug enthusiasts around the globe for Skywatch Friday.

I know this building by Whittle Communications in downtown Knoxville. Today, it’s called the Howard H. Baker, Jr. Federal Courthouse. I love the feel of the architecture with the clock tower and all. It’s not an old building. In fact, it was built in the mid-80s by publishing mogul Chris Whittle. I was not only drawn to the building but how gorgeous the sky appeared behind it. I couldn’t help, but think this is my SWF photo! 😀

From my vantage point in shooting the Spanish War Veteran Statue situated on the grounds of the old courthouse, I noticed the First Tennessee bank building captures the BB&T reflection that sits next door. This makes it a perfect candidate for Weekend Reflections.
