Spring Rain

Some Awwws for Monday morning!

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays!  This week’s theme is Rain Showers!

When April rolls around the rain is always on my brain.  I don’t think we actually get an unusual amount of the wet precipitation this time of year. I could be wrong but anywho, while scrolling over song titles listed on The 25 Greatest Songs About Rain according to TimeOut.com, this one lured me in and I was a bit surprised to learn it’s a Disco instrumental from 1976.  I don’t remember it or the artist, Bebu Silvetti.

I quickly learned Silvetti was an Argentine-Mexican composure. This explains why I hadn’t heard of him.  YT has the World Without Words album playlist which includes this song along with three other rain-related titles. I enjoyed listening to it while pulling this post together. According to Wiki, Silvetti moved to Mexico in the early 70s and became citizen.  He was best known for his disco hit, “Lluvia De Primavera” in English that’s the song you just listened to. That’s cool! He eventually moved to Miami, Florida. I didn’t recognize any of the artists mentioned on Wiki that Silvetti worked with because many if not all appear to be from the latin community which I’m not familiar with at all.  At the time of his death in 2003, he had composed more than 600 songs, over 200 TV and radio commercials, and a number of film/TV soundtracks. That’s amazing! I’d say there’s a good chance I’ve heard his music before and didn’t know.

There you have it in a nutshell. Now, it’s your turn!

Music themes are only suggestions.  I don’t care one what kind of music it is, as long as you share music.

This is a music link up.  Your post must contain at least one song or your URL is marked “No Music”.

I hope your weekend is going well. On Friday, we got out to enjoy the day driving to Crosby TN  to visit an old apple orchard we’ve wanted to go to for years.  From there we headed toward Gatlinburg and stopped to try a place donut shop before heading home.  It felt refreshing to get of the house to do something different for a change.

These two bold ducks hoped for donut bites but we had none to give.

Don’t forget I’ll be sharing last week’s BOTB results along with my vote in the original post’s comments which you can look for that tomorrow. 😉 Thank you for joining me today on the dance floor. I hope you have a boogietastic week, my friends!

  2. The husband and wife ducky also went for a stroll seeking donoughts…imjust had to use the original.spelling..lol. glad you got out for the day. It’s been nuts weather here. On Thursday, we had snow, sleet, freezing rain with a touch of sun before going to rain. Wreaks havoc on my pain. I love the little chipmunk holding the flower and I enjoyed some Disco flav. From the good ole 70s. This is right up there with The Hustle.

    1. This time of the year, the weather can be like a rollercoaster ride. It felt like summer last week and now it’s so chilly. I don’t like it hot nor cold. Is it too much to ask Mother Nature to get it just right? 🙂 Doughnuts or donuts is the same food, so it doesn’t matter to me how anyone spells it. Either way, it spells yummy! lol

  3. The Aww Monday image is indeed Aww…some!
The song selection is great and sounds very much like a movie soundtrack that would play behind some sort of panoramic travel scene. I’m sure we’ve all heard some the this composer’s work and never gave it a thought. Have a blessed week.

  4. I loved the chipmunk holding the flower umbrella. They are so cute even when they damage your flowers in planters, lol. I did not know the name or recognize the music. No matter, it was enjoyable to listen to. I love those kind of impromptu road trips, too. Maybe next year…

  5. Awww, what a cutie pie. I love the flower umbrella. So precious.

Love the video and love your adventure. It’s fun to just take a drive and explore. A treat is always a good thing too.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Cathy. Love and hugs. ♥

    1. While it’s exciting, I really hate it when an animal feel this at ease to get this close. Wild critters are meant to live off the land, not hand outs. Thanks for visiting, my dear!
