Southern Rock Bands

Lynyrd Skynyrd “Red White and Blue”

It’s time to party Monday music style! Are you ready to boogie? Lace up your blue suede shoes. It’s time to dance freebie style to whatever tunes are getting your groove on, but I am rockin’ to the sound of three of my favorite Southern Rock bands!

Atlanta Rhythm Section “So Into You”
Appearing on Atlanta Rhythm Section 1976 album The Rock and Roll Alternative, So Into You became the groups’ first major hit.

Thanks for joining us for another week Monday’s Music Moves Me! On behalf of the lovely Dancing Queen,  Marie @XmasDolly  and her Solid Gold dancers ~ Callie @JAmericanSpice, Stacy @Stacy Uncorked, Naila Moon @Just the stuff ya know & myself want to invite you to step on the dance floor with the 4M crew.

Monday’s Music Moves Me rules:

  1.  Grab XmasDolly 4M button here.
  2.  Display it on your blog.
  3. Add your favorite YouTube videos.  FYI: we dance freebie style every other week, and on the off weeks we dance to a chosen theme picked by the previous week Spotlight Dancer. You can find it listed on XmasDolly’s side menu. That all being said, we aren’t music snobs. As long as you have tunes for us to dance to, then you’re cool!

This week’s Spotlight Dancer is in the #1 position of the link up. Be sure to stop by to boogie with our featured blogger, and don’t forget to link your 4M URL below to join in on the fun!

If you liked Red, White, and Blue, then you’re gonna wanna get to your feet for the complete album All Time Greatest Hits by Lynyrd Skynyrd!

Did you listen to the complete 14-YouTube playlist of All Time Greatest Hits? Awesome, right? I found another good music compilation: First The Complete Muscle Shoals Album.

I’m gonna wrap things up with another great Southern Rock band and perhaps my personal favorite. Warning, you may find it hard to sit in your seat, as you listen to the full album Greatest Hits by ZZ Top.

XOXO, Cathy

  1. OHhh, I like that So Into You one! have to look that one up and add it to my library. and I was all set for some Skynyrd but the video wouldn’t play for me. 🙁
One of my favourite Southern Bands was Alabama, and I will admit to knowing the words to more than a few Kenny Rogers songs too. 🙂

  2. Those are some nice bands. I hope you are having a very happy Memorial Day.
