Good morning, kittens & dawgs! How was y’all Christmas? December is really scooting by, isn’t it? It’s funny as a kid, I remember when the calendar flipped to December that it took forever for Christmas to arrive but this month is anything other than a long December.
This December is flying by faster than Santa’s reindeer but honestly, there’s something magical about December, don’t you agree?
While we had a rather mild Christmas weekend we have had some cold December nights and in my opinion, that really makes the season all the more Christmasy.
Because this month zipped just like a snap of a finger it’s now late December!
I guess I can share one more peek at some beautiful Christmas lights, though. This is the Christmas Village in Pigeon Forge. It looks like Christmas all year round there but during the holidays they make it even more festive. Do you see the small lighted buildings just above the garland? One of the product lines The Christmas Village carries is Department 56. This is where DH bought my first pieces of my New England Christmas Village. I’d love to expand my collection so I can put a bit in every room of the house. Hey, a girl can dream, can’t she?
I hope you enjoyed this morning’s mewsic collection. Are you still listening to Christmas tunes or have you moved on to other mewsic?
Thank you for including me in your Monday. ? My friend, XmasDolly who puts on the Monday’s Music Moves Me ? linky party is a bit short-handed and I volunteered to co-host as long for as long as she needs me. You’re invited to hit the dance floor. This month’s theme is Christmas anything!
[tweetthis]Something About December & more Monday mewsic. You’re invited to a dance party with @Xmasdolly & the 4M crew! #music[/tweetthis]

My vote goes to Counting Crows “A Long December”. Great tune! Happy New Year and all the best in 2017!
There is definitely something about December. It’s leaving too fast too. Like I didn’t get to enjoy it.
And I”ve always enjoyed Mr Buble.
Happy New Year to you Cathy! *HUGS
Thanks for linking up at Impulsive Artistry for the weekly “Feeling Inspired” Link Up Party! Some great music here – have a wonderful New Year!!!
I did enjoy dancing to your mewsic selections! Beautiful photo of Christmas Village, too. We stayed in Sevierville a couple Decembers ago, and Facebook kept showing me memories earlier in the month and making me all nostalgic. We’re still daydreaming about buying a vacation cabin in that area. Maybe 2017 will bring magic to make it happen! Have a Happy New Year!
Kristin, we’re hoping the new year will allow us to buy a new home. So, perhaps we’ll both get a little of that magic in 2017. Thanks for stopping by and have a safe and happy New Year!
Life in general is flying by quickly. I guess when you’re six, a year is a sixth of your life, so it seems like a long time. Now, a year is nothing. As for the weather, yes, there is such a thing as global warming. It was close to 80 here, yesterday––beautiful day, but upsetting to my son who is trying to sell winter hats.
Great song picks this week. Enjoy your favorite time a year and have a wonderful 2017!
Joyce, Perhaps your son will have better luck selling winter hats by the end of the week. Here things are forecast to change and maybe winter will come your way, too. I don’t mind it being a little chilly but not frigid for days on end. Each passing year I like it less and less. I have newer appreciate for the elderly’s habits of bumping up the thermostat in their homes. lol Thanks for dancing over. Now to hop over to your place!
Love it! Love it! Love it! Great tunes my friend! Hope your Christmas was fabulous and I want to wish you a very merry and Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year! Thank you for being you and all your help! HUGS…. AND of course Happy New Year to that breadwinner in your family too! You go dude!!! HUGS
Marie, Thank you, my friend! We had the best Christmas ever. I mean, what is there to not like about THIS Christmas? God’s gift to mankind through His Son long ago is the best but then what did He go and do? God provided DH with a much-needed job – an answer to prayer! We’re so thankful for His provisions, for His goodness, for everything He does for us. We are honored and blessed by the Almighty! Yesterday, I spent with DH in the mountains enjoying the spring-like weather. Temperatures are expected to take a downward turn by the end of the week, so I’m thankful to have warm conditions for now. I’m heading your way next!
cool tunes!
Thank you, Mike! It’s always a delight to have you to visit!
We picked the one of the same songs. Hope that you had a great Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
Great songs.
Patrick, oh that’s cool but you didn’t tell me which one. No worries, I will hop over to listen and dance with you next!
Hi, Cathy!
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas. I am sipping my morning Starbucks and enjoying another of your mewsical posts featuring sounds of the season.
You know how much I love female vocalists and Christina Perri’s song “Something About December” is my favorite. I got a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat watching Christina’s video with clips from old home movies. I lost my dad on Christmas day and thought of him often yesterday, but this morning Christina’s song soothed my soul and gave me inspiration,
Because the ones you love
Are never far
If Christmas is in your heart
Now more than ever we need to keep the spirit of Christmas alive all year long.
Christmas Village in Pigeon Forge is an enchanted wonderland. So beautiful, so magical! I can imagine how exciting it is for you to visit those shops at this time of year and search for pieces to expand your New England Christmas Village.
Thank you very much for the morning mewsic and memories, dear friend Cathy!
Tom,
I agree with you, we need to keep the spirit of Christmas alive all year. I know I carry Christmas in my heart throughout the year but do I really show it all the time? I don’t know but I hope that I do. We had a lovely Christmas. Yesterday, DH and I went to the mountains with the intent to visit some of the plazas but they were swamped. I reckon people returning Christmas gifts and looking for bargains. The mountains were quite busy, too. Despite the heavy traffic, it was nice to venture out for the day. The weather was spring-like. We wanted to take a longer walk than we did but with my ear bothering me then we didn’t want to chance it. All of the small foothill’s towns are magical at Christmas. We see a lot of Floridians up this way during the winter. Perhaps you and Mrs. Shady will get an opportunity to visit the Smoky’s one Christmas. It’s a gorgeous spot for a winter vacation! Thank you for stopping by.
Good choices especially Dec 63 Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons one of my fave groups seen them couple of times live here in UK I have chosen one of their songs this week too ,,,great minds heh! Cathy heheh!

Steve, thank you for stopping by for a dance. In December 1963, I would’ve been 2-years old but I grew up listening to Frankie Vallie & The Four Seasons. I always liked their sound and still do. I’m heading over to your place to see what’s spinning on your turntable.
