Almost two years ago I shared with my Wordless Wednesday group photos of Moonshine Ridge Country Store & Cafe and I decided to revisit with a few shots that didn’t make the original post.
I love the sun glare on these two shots. I used my then new iPhone5s to get these pictures.
I remember it was a pretty day with a bit of nip unlike our 70º we had yesterday and forecast for this weekend.

It’s time for Celebrate the small things.
I celebrate…
- yesterday’s fun in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg (two Smoky Mountain foothills communities) enjoying the beautifully decorated shops and lights.
- making our special Christmasy breakfast (Smoked Salmon Omelet, Hash Brown Potatoes with Bell Peppers & Onions, Whole Wheat Pancakes, & Blueberry Syrup ) for the first time in many years. I plan to share these recipes with you soon, so check back.
- Christmas music! There’s nothing like the way it makes me feel no matter when I hear it playing.
Life should be celebrated, even when it seems like you have no reason to celebrate. Just look around, I bet you’ll see something good! What are you celebrating?
One way to celebrate is with Friendship Friday and Friday Features Linky Party, where you’re sure to make new friends and get lots of inspiration to boot!
That’s a wrap for now, but if you like to dance then I invite you to hop over for December round 2 of BoTB and Monday’s Music Moves Me. Thanks for visiting. Until we meet on the other side of the lens, have a fototastic day!
~All images captured with my big girl camera ~ Nikon D7000 & preferred lens Nikkor 18-105mm zoom, unless otherwise noted.~

beautiful! love the sun flares.
Thankful today for the beautiful forests of Ontario, and the local farm that is the perfect spot to buy a Christmas tree. Supports the environment and local business. We had the Christmas music playing while we decorated. 🙂
I’d love to go to the Moonshine Ridge!!! I also love Christmas music and will bake, clean, and whatever with it playing in the background.
I love the name Moonshine Ridge, Great pics
That smoked salmon omelet sounds delicious. I have a fondness for sun rays too. 2nd photo is my favorite 🙂
Looks like an interesting place.
I love the look of that country store. Well photographed!!
Those pictures are lovely! And the breakfast has my stomach growling. It sounds delicious. As to Christmas music, I can’t seem to locate our CDs yet after the move, and what’s Christmas without the fitting music? Thanks for the reminder!
I wouldn’t mind having that breakfast for dinner tonight–though what I’m fixing will be close.

Lee, we’ve done breakfast for dinner before and it’s so much fun!
How lovely the place looks with the wreaths, lights and bows! I adore Christmas decorations and songs – and let’s not forget about the awesome Christmas specials that I remember from my childhood plus classic Christmas movies. I get excited like a kid around Christmas time! 🙂
Lexa, I get excited like a kid at Christmas, too. I think we all do and that’s ok!
