Saturday Song-suasion: The Civil Wars #music

Good-morning, kittens & dawgs! It’s Saturday with cloudy rain skies overhead and temps in the 40s. Blah, Blah, Blah, right? Who wants to hear about this ole gloomy weather? If the sun isn’t out in your neck of the woods, then take a peak at 20 of the Most Unbelievable Places You Swear Aren’t Real..But They Are to lift your mood while listening to a little Americana style music this morning on Saturday Song-suasion(SS).

In 2008, Joy Williams and John Paul White united as the American duo known as….

The Civil Wars

In their short career, the critically acclaimed team earned four Grammy awards before splitting last year. Oh why?! I just got turned on to their beautiful sound to learn this awful news. *sigh*

Oh well, there’s nothing I can do, but to share this video. Click play-all below to hear several of their hit songs.

I appreciated everyone’s opinions last week. Some of y’all voiced that the weekends are a time for bloggers to catch up, which got me thinking would this be a good spot to list my weekly posts or do you think my blog post calendar in the upper right corner serves its purpose well? Meanwhile, I decided to continue SS until its usefulness is out lived regardless of the number of comments received.

Thanks for making me apart of your weekend. I hope you enjoyed your time here and I hope decide tell your friends. Go ahead, hit the share (Facebook, Twitter, Google+) button! You know you wanna. 😉 Have a songsational Saturday!

    1. Yeah, it’s disappointing to find out someone you like has parted ways. Oh well…it’ll be interesting to see if they make it on their own. Thanks for showing your support and cheers rallying me to keep SS alive!

  1. Four Grammys and they’re history? Too bad. Love their music. Not sure what to say about your posts. I never looked at your calendar until you mentioned it today. But then, I’m a bit slow.

I do think I’ll get this CD… thanks, Cathy for showcasing it.

    1. LOL, Dixie! You’re not slow. I think the calendar just doesn’t grab people’s attention, so this served as a good time to throw a plug in for it. 😀
