How was your Labor Day weekend holiday?
Ours started off Thursday after DH got home from work. We had dinner at Bravo’s Italian Restaurant. This is the first time in many years that we have been. DH & I shared the shrimp and crab cakes with a chopped salad with Creamy Parmesan dressing. For dessert, we got a slice of Carnegie Deli cheesecake and Layered Chocolate Cake – both delicious! The best part about dinner was the warm, lovely experience spent with DD#1, DD#2 & her husband, and DS & his girlfriend – the best company ever!
Speaking of the weekend, DD#2 and her husband went to Milwaukee, WI for the 2013 Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary Celebration. You may remember my SIL won a customized HD hog with his award-winning 300 characters (or less) essay Rebel Soul.
They got treated to an all-paid stay in a four-star hotel at The Pfister.

This place is definitely out of my budget but it must be fun to stay in a plush hotel such as this that is if you don’t mind being spooked. Reportedly, there’s something funny going on at this old grand establishment. Who you’re going call? Ghostbusters! Do you like ghost tales? I have good news to report. My colonoscopy came back negative for cancer. I knew there would be no surprises there, but I was a bit disappointed to learn that I still have inflammation in my small intestines. I was hoping that I did not have it at all. Next step a small bowel series and then treatment for my intestinal problems can be determined. The super news is I am by far in better health compared to others with the same disorder. That’s reason to be happy.
Before I skedaddle out of here, let me mention Blue Bell’s monthly featured flavor – Chocolate Peanut Butter. Oh. My. Goodness. This is fabulous stuff in a bowl or on a cone. You can’t go wrong! We enjoyed it so much that we polished off the entire half-gallon carton in two nights and I’m dying for more! Does that tell you how good it is? If not, try a carton for yourself.
