Prayers Needed

I’m stepping away from blogging for to awhile.  Daddy’s condition didn’t improve.  While trying to put him back on the ventilator Saturday night, his heart beat dropped/stopped.  The hospital tried CPR but his heart was too weak.  He departed this world for his everlasting life at midnight.  My heart is broken but I know he’s in a far better place.  Please pray for me and my family during these difficult days. Thank you!

  1. So sorry, Cathy. May what seems like a hole soon become an eternal portal between two hearts. Talk to him often.
Best wishes and a big welcome to the little one 😉

  2. CATHY, I just now saw this.
I’m going to pray right now, and will continue praying for you and your family.

This is such a tough thing to deal with (I know from first-hand experiences), but I also know that YOU know that… the BEST times are coming!!

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
    ~ 1 Corinthians 2:9

    1. Thank you, Stephen!

I know where Daddy is and he’s happy once more. Being laid up in the hospital in the state that he was in, he wasn’t happy. He wanted Mommy to take him home so badly. Daddy was the last in his family to pass, living longer than his mom or siblings. In June when we went up for a visit, he said, “I want to live to see 100.” I told him that he might just do that. God had other plans, though. Thank you for your prayers and I cherish the scripture you chose to share with me – simply beautiful!

  3. Sending heartfelt condolences on the loss of your father. – Losing a parent is so hard. Praying for peace and comfort as your mourn and for precious memories to flood your heart in the days to come.

    1. Mimi,

You’re so sweet. Please do continue to keep us in your prayers. I’m certain it’s going to be the most difficult for any of us on Friday when we say our last goodbyes to Daddy. I still can’t believe it!

    1. Thank you! It’s comforting to have such nice friends in Blogosphere showing me love and support in the wake of my Daddy’s passing. The grief weighs heavy at times. God bless!

    1. Eugi,

Thank you, dear friend. Daddy is in God’s company now and there isn’t any place better than that. One day, I will see him again and it’s that hope that makes this sting of death hurt a little less.

  4. Cathy, Always know my prayers are always with you no matter what. In this hour of need my the Lord & the Blessed Virgin walk with you and shower you with their blessings! My love is always with you my dearest friend. If there’s anything you need at all, please do not hesitate to ask. God loves you and I love you always! May The Lord bless you & keep you safe from harm and your whole family…. Amen

    1. Marie,

Thank you for everything! You’re such a good friend. Your prayers, love, and kindness warm my heart. God is so good to me! Blessing to you, my dear friend!

    1. Granny & kitties,

I sure do appreciate your pawwryers and thoughtfulness. I reckon heaven was needing another angel. Have a blessed day, furriends!

  5. I’m so very, very sorry to hear about your Daddy. We will be thinking of you and sending love, hugs and prayers your way non-stop.

    1. Thank you, Brian. Yes, please keep those non-stop pawwwryers going. It’s going to be really hard on Friday to say goodbye to Daddy. I’m thankful that we got to speak to him before he had the heart cauterization. He sounded good and fearless. A long time ago, Daddy booked his heavenly destination and knew God was in control. The moment, he crossed over he was a new creature everything from this life was made new. He’s happy and healthy once more. The best part is I will see him again. God bless, my furriend!

  6. I am so sorry. I’ll be thinking of you in the coming days and am sending you a virtual hug right now. May your father’s memory be a blessing. Alana ramblinwitham

    1. Alana,

Like all of my bloggy friends, you are just as wonderful and loving. I am so thankful to have you support. It’s nice having you for a crutch through these terribly sad days. My memories of Daddy are a blessing now and will continue to be so every day. I’m still stunned that he’s not with us anymore! He’s with God an I will see him one day. Love ya!

  7. I am so sorry. Please look after yourself. It is such a horrible time. I hope you in time you feel his warmth and closeness when you think of him.

  8. I have submitted a prayer for you and your family. Take care. New blessings will be on their way.

    1. Lee,

I appreciate your prayers for me and my family. You’re so right about the blessings on the way. My son’s wife is to be induced this Saturday, so before the weekend is up, we’ll meet our grandson! And, while Daddy won’t get to see his great-grandson in this life, I like to think he’ll be smiling down on the new parents as they bring a new life into this world. 🙂 Blessings to you, my friend!

  9. So sorry, Cathy! Prayers and good thoughts for you and yours and for the repose of your father’s soul. We’ll see you when we see you.

  10. Sending prayers and hugs as you grieve. I am so sorry for your loss. Your father is the newest star in the sky to watch over you until you are together again.

    1. I’m so sorry to hear this and was hoping he would improve. It’s always so tough to lose a parent and to be there for your mom in her time of grief. I know you will take solace in your faith, you husband, your kids and grandkids. They will give you the strength. Thinking of you…
