I’m trying to stay on track in sharing once a month my A to Z Pinup Girl Art Sketch series colorized illustrations. Over my long summer blogging hiatus I managed to get a few of drawings done using my Procreate app.
I wanted a burst of light shining through the heavy drapes behind my posed pinup gal. I used my favorite photo-editing program, Pixelmator Pro to give create the illusion desired. First, I adjusted the color to vibrant and then added the Arcturus effect creating the warm glow behind my imaginary model. 🙂
The trio performing Antonio Carlos Jobim’s Fotografia arrangement are: Dan Garcia on guitar, Leonardo Cioglia on bass, and Chris Michael on percussion.
In case you missed yesterday’s post. It’s time once again to evoke your first amendment right to vote in my latest ‘Battle of the Bands‘!
Join my #WildWednesdays linky party where just about anything goes! The concept for this mid-week blog hop was conceived as I found myself moving farther away from photography and more toward art. Of course, that’s not what this party is about. You’re invited to share anything – artwork, DIY projects, photos, music, musings, randomness, recipes, and more!

I love your pinup under the lamp and however you got it to light up, it looks great. She is nicely illuminated.

I SHOULD’VE NEVER HAVE DONE IT, BUT I’M PAYIN’ FOR IT TODAY, bad thing is I think he blames me. I knew I shouldn’t have, but he made me mad and that’s a challenge in my book. How do you tell a man enough is enough??????? love you girl hugsssssssss
Marie,
Yes, you’ve told me but it’s always nice to hear it again. 🙂 I’ll try to do ya a wintry Christmas scene when I have the time. Things are a bit wild here. We’re hoping to finally take the Avalon to the body shop after last November’s accident. You may remember a tractor trailer decided to share lanes with us doing some damage on the driver’s side. We were okay, shaken, but ok. We just never got around to doing it because of the holidays coupled with bad weather and then COVID. Gee, what a mess! Thankfully the trucking company is paying for all the work despite all of these hiccups. Keep your fingers crossed the parts come in this week. Riding a bike after sometime can be difficult. I remember right after I had DS we rode our bikes around Cades Cove in the Smoky’s. I was still carrying those post-pregnancy pounds which was a lot. I gained so much with our son. Not having been on my bike for months, plus the added weight made me clumsy feeling on my 10-speed. I was pulling up one of the steep hills when I slipped my foot out of the toe clip and I gashed open my shin as well nearly wrecking. All I could do was set by the road until DH caught up with me. We waited for my sister-in-law who was driving our car with the children. My bike ride was over. It was bad cut, probably needed stitches but we patched it up ourselves and it didn’t scare too badly. Saved an extra medical cost that’s for sure. I can imagine how sore you are after that tumble. The next time you climb on, take it very easy. I love riding my bike but we haven’t done it in years. Maybe we’ll get a chance again. DH’s dad used to ride around Cades Cove with us when he was in 70s. I remember being so amazed but that’s really not too old seeing how I’m just 11 years away from entering that decade. 😀 Rest up but try to move so don’t get too stiff after that fall. Tell your hubby to put training wheels on your bike until you get more comfortable. lol
Okay, so I’m trying to make a statement here and this machine keeps cutting me short! grrrrrrrrrrrr I hate it when machines argue with ya, right??? I was downstairs in the basement trying to sort a few things out anddddddddddddddddd first I found this, and then I found that, and then I’d love to look at this, but it’ll take a really long time, and then I found something I was looking for forever and then I found something that I really wanted to do, and then another that was a treasure find… and ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh brother… I’m such a pack-rat!!! hahahaha Well, I brought up a bunch of things so I’d better get started, and ohhhhhhhhhhh I finally brought up my mother’s rocking chair that I wanted to fix and use! Wish me luck on that and then I’ll put it on the front porch and take a picture of it for all to see. Love you my Cat girl!! You’re duh best! 🙂 Woooooooooooo Hooooooooooo!!!!!!! SENDING BIG HUGS!!!!!!!
Marie,
If you fix your mother’s rocking chair then be sure to do before and after photos to share. That will make a great WW post! 🙂
Great music and I love your pinup series. So very nice.
Thanks, Patrick!
Lovely music to listen to! Have a great day!
Great job. I like the light coming through the curtains. Without it I get the feeling that the line is a pole like for pole dancing.
Janet,
Well…she’s not wearing any clothes, maybe it is a pole! lol Seriously, I didn’t make that connection until you said something and you’re right.
She’s beautiful. I can remember having an hourglass figure. I think my sand has shifted.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Cathy. Love and hugs. ♥
Sandee,
That’s great, “my sand has shifted”! I think that happens to us all. I’m trying to throw some of that sand out with the tide. It’s hard job, I tell you!
I always enjoy your sketches Cathy you never fail to impress me because I can’t draw for toffee heheh! 👩🎨🎨🖌️
Have an artistictastic safe week 😷😷😷
Hi, Cathy!
Happy Wild and Almost Wordless Wednesday, dear friend!
I am happy to see your lovely “P” as in “Pose” pinup girl return to CAAC In Living Color. The warm glow in the room and earth tone shades make me think your model was setting the scene for a romantic interlude or perhaps basking in the aftermath of one. It’s a wonderful piece of artwork!
I enjoyed sipping coffee and waking up to the mellow, uncomplicated sound of the instrumental tune played by that gifted trio. Thanks for posting!
Thank you for the art and mewsic, dear friend Cathy. Have a happy Wednesday and don’t miss the email I sent you yesterday. It’s a surprise! 🙂
