Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays! This week’s theme is songs that make you think of a tropical paradise!
I’m not much of a tropical paradise kind of gal. I like the romance of the idea, though. What comes to mind when I think of a tropical paradise is pineapples and coconuts. That’s the direction I went with my songs picking those that contained one of those things but incorporated some other elements as I went. Click play to enjoy the music!
Do you remember the days when TV stations hosted weekend matinees? I loved catching Elvis’ beach films on the rare occasion as a kid. There was some good stuff on broadcast television in those days. I wish I could say the same for today, even the commercials are terrible. Gone are the days of truly good entertainment.
Now, it’s your turn, what music moves you?
Just a reminder, Alana is on vacation and isn’t in Blogosphere. I hope she’s having a good time! 😉 Correction, Alana is back from vacation and is ready to get back to blogging. YAY!!
Finishing things up, I borrowed the Friday Friendly Fill-ins (links found in side menu) to share with you.
1. I have changed my blogging post schedule in the past year.
2.I need to get moving on moving my body. Actually, I’m doing quite well as most days I’m able to use my elliptical for 90 minutes.
3. Though it might seem childish, I love stuffed toys especially teddy bears.
4. Getting back into the groove of using my elliptical wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be.
I encourage y’all if you can to click the “like” button instead of leaving a comment and if that doesn’t work drop an emoji in comments while I’m on blog break. That’s all I need to know that you stopped by.
In closing, I’m dedicating the following song in honor of DH who just celebrated another birthday this past week. “Moonlight Feels Right” came out the year we started dating. Join the BOTB fun with my August 1st showdown this Thursday. Have a boogietastic week!

We had a station in Chicago that had a 3:30 movie that would do “Elvis Week” a couple of times a year (they’d also do “Jerry Lewis Week” about as frequently). Between 3:30 and 5:00, minus lots of time for commercials, news previews, editorials, promos for tomorrow’s movie, and the occasional EBS test, you’d see less than an hour of the movie. It was great! Love the playlist!
Nice songs and a happy belated birthday to DH. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
Happy belated birthday to dh. Have a wonderful day.

Happy Belated birthday to DH. 🎉 Tropical paradise makes me think of palm trees. 🌴 And, the song “Margaritaville”. Those Elvis beach movies were fun. 🙂 I love your drawing, Cathy! Suitable for framing.
Love the post and wish your DH many happy returns of the day!
Happy belated birthday to dh. Enjoyed your playlist and drawing. I’m back to blogging tomorrow. It was a great vacation.
