This morning I’ve been working on rewrites to my story, “There Are Dinosaurs In My Backyard.” My literary agent suggested I take it up to an early reader level.
I admit I love the appeal of a picture book because of coziness it conveys, but I tend to naturally write more in line for an older age group than for the picture book category, so this is an excellent idea. I love the creative flow of words in my head like moving pictures. This is what I want my young audience to capture in their minds as they read my books.
It’s time to get back to the rewrites!
