Greetings Earthlings! In the Looney Tunes series, Wiki’s list shows yet again no matching cartoon character to draw. I shall not let this oppress my creativity, my desire to bring to you an out of this world experience and am oblige to illustrate an Outerspace scene with none other than Marvin the Martian and Daffy Duck as the two opine over who got there first.
The way I come up with sketch ideas is to use keywords in DuckGo search. The above image popped up on my radar when I looked for “Looney Tunes Outerspace”. After I drew my picture, I then did a little digging to figure out which cartoon the image was taken from and found out it’s from the 1953 film, Duck Dodgers in the 24½th Century. Once more I can’t find the entire short but managed to piece together the Opening clip from one source and another where the first one leaves off. It’s not the whole thing but enough to get you laughing.
Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your day. I’m heading over to the A2Z headquarters to see who’s joined the party now. I’ll be back on Monday for another edition in my Looney Tunes Art Sketch series. Have an outstanding weekend! X💋X💋 Cathy

Excellent sketching, Cathy. Marvin the Martian and Daffy are most entertaining and one of my faves! Have a great weekend. 😘
That came out great. Have a nice weekend. XO
I am loving this series you are doing. Wonderful memories.
How wonderful, Marvin getting mentioned in another post and yet again your drawing is spot on. I think he was a bit misunderstood, world domination wasn’t too much to ask for.
More of my favorite Toons and done so well, Cathy. Marvin and Daffy, two ET peas in a pod.

For some reason the outer space cartoons did not interest me, but your drawings are wonderful.
Such fun! Duck Dodgers brings back wonderful memories.
Your sketches are so much fun, we are sure enjoying them!
Outerspace is another perfect word for your theme! Cute drawing.
How fun. Another favorite of mine. Your sketch is perfect. I’m so enjoying your A2Z contributions.
We are on our boat for the weekend and the weather is beautiful. Enjoying our time watching the birds.
Have a fabulous day and weekend, Cathy. Love and hugs. ♥
Marvin is my very favorite Martian and my favorite Looney Tunes character! I love how you show him in the art, just a dude trying to get by as a universe-invading Martian. We have all been there, Marvin. We have all been there!
Good morning, Earthling Cathy! Happy O-day to you, dear friend!
It’s great to see Marvin the Martian and Daffy Duck back on the blog in another drawing, a scene that is literally out of this world. I notice all the detail you are putting within the frame of your sketches. The characters are well drawn and their stance natural looking as they each plant their flags and argue over which of them landed first on Planet X. I hope you can bring this one back someday In Living Color. I don’t remember having seen Duck Dodgers in the 24½th Century. I’m starting to realize that I didn’t watch Looney Tunes as often or for as many years as I originally thought. As usual, Daffy does lots of swaggering, bragging and boasting, but gets zapped and reduced to ashes by Marvin’s “A-1 disintegrating pistol.” Porky saves the day with a ray gun of his own. He converts Daffy back to his original state using an “integrating pistol” purchased from that famous Looney Tunes company Acme corporation. Another fine, high quality, dependable Acme product, the “disintegrating pistol” literally disintegrates before Daffy can use it to blast Marvin. Acme company gets another plug when Daffy issues an ultimatum using the Acme “ultimatum dispatcher” that shoots a bullet that opens up and releases a message written on a scroll. Marvin fires back using his “A-1 ultimatum answerer.” 🙂 No matter how many times cartoon characters get shot, bopped over the head, blown up or disintegrated, they always bounce back to normal within seconds, providing a welcome escape from reality.
Thank you for another fun week of the A to Z, dear friend Cathy. Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll be back on Pawww-some 4M Monday aka P-day!
