Opposite Word Song Titles

Awww Mondays hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus

I borrowed today’s theme from Debbie at The Dog Lady’s Den featuring song titles with opposites ie black/white, night/day but not necessarily in the same name and am asking you to build your playlist around this idea. Don’t pull your hair out, just have fun. 😉

In my line up, one song lead to another and soon I had more than a dozen titles.  At the start of each themed song collection, I found a title with opposites in the title followed by individual songs with the featured “opposite” word.

PLAYLIST: 1. I Can’t Stand Up For Falling Down ~Elvis Costello 2. Don’t Bring Me Down ~ELO 3. Down Under ~Men at Work 4. Upside Down ~Jack Johnson 5. Get Down Tonight ~KC & the Sunshine Band 6. Give It Up ~KC 7. Up On The Roof ~The Cover Girls 8. Right Place Wrong Time ~Dr. John 9. Right As Rain ~Daryl Hall 10. Mr. Wrong ~Mary J Blige Ft. Drake 11. Right Place Wrong Time ~Otis Rush 12. This is a music link up.  Your post must contain music (at least one song) or your URL is marked “No Music”.

4M co-hostess are now featured in my right side bar underneath the banner. The guidelines are simple.  Every other week, a suggested (not mandatory) theme is given to build your song picks. YouTube and other music sites have options to create and embed playlists or individual songs into your post. On the off weeks, we dance to whatever music moves you – your choice. To access the dance party, add your music post below and visit others on the floor.

Tomorrow, I will announce the winners of my latest BOTB.  😉 This is CAAC signing off,  have a boogietasticweek!  X💋X💋, Cathy

Sparks of encouragement..

He who creates a poison, also has the cure.
He who creates a virus, also has the antidote.
He who creates chaos, also has the ability to create peace.
He who sparks hate, also has the ability to transform it to love.
He who creates misery, also has the ability to destroy it with kindness.
He who creates sadness, also has the ability to to covert it to happiness.
He who creates darkness, can also be awakened to produce illumination.
He who spreads fear, can also be shaken to spread comfort.
Any problems created by the left hand of man,
Can also be solved with the right,
For he who manifests anything,
Also has the ability to
Destroy it.

    1. Marie,

I stopped by yesterday and left a comment but I used the name/url sign-in option which I think puts my comments in your spam folder. You might want to keep an eye on things like that. I just went over again and used my Google sign-in which made it immediately visible once I published it. I prefer to not use Google anything when I can. We’ll always be best friends, my dear. Have a boogietastic week!😘

    1. I enjoyed your list but, alas, after Drake, whom I can’t stand(sorry) ithe next one would not play…unavailable. I was looking forward to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Hope you had a lovely weekend.

      1. Birgit,

Drats! I’m sorry the video didn’t play for you. I can never remember to check for restrictions. Thanks for checking out this week’s music contribution. I’ll hop by to visit you shortly, my dear. 😉

  3. Love the furry friends image! 💖 That’s an interesting playlist. Thanks for the mention, Cathy! I’m sorry I didn’t join you, but it’s a long weekend here and we’ve had a busy few days. 🥂

    1. Debbie,

Don’t worry about it! I just wanted to give credit since I borrowed from your idea. 🙂 It’s wonderful that y’all had a grand time celebrating 50 years of marriage with your close friends. I hope you have tons more! xo

        1. Debbie,

I don’t think I’ve heard this Led Zeppelin song before now. This is great addition for this week’s line up! Thanks for sharing it with us, my dear. 👏

  4. Awww on the best of friends. So precious.

Love your playlist. You are so good at this.

Love your Sparks too. Spot on.

    1. Sandee,

I appreciate you having me play along with you on Awww Mondays. I’m glad you always make time to stop by for a little music each week. You’re duh-bomb! 🙂

    1. Joyce,

Elvis Costello is an artist I’ve only come to enjoy since I started blogging. That’s one of the perks with enjoying this little social outlet, discovering or rediscovering lost music. Thanks for joining the party, my dear!

    1. Robin,

I’m glad to hear. I so appreciate everyone’s support and enthusiasm to dance with each other each week. It’s loads of fun!

  5. Okie dokie, Got er’ workin’!!! You have done awesome today as well! I thought we’d be kinda stumped on this one, but not our girls…. nope, not our people! We’re all rockers! WOO HOO! HAVE A GREAT WEEK MY FRIEND! LUV YA~! HUGS

  6. Okay, I was about to Post myself everything is finished except one thing… my signature picture and it won’t take it… 🙁 Guess I’ll just type my name… what a bummer! 🙁

  7. This was a very interesting 4M theme but the results can be pretty satisfying. Yes, I love “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” theme and movie. Have a very blessed week.

    1. Clint Eastwood did a great job in those old films of the man with no name and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is truly an iconic piece of music. Thanks for joining the party, m yf riend!

  8. That is a fun theme. Great choices, especially KC and the Sunshine Band. XO

    1. Ellen,

KC and the Sunshine Band not only has fabulous sound but they are so much fun. Every time I hear them know I think of the movie, The In-Laws with Ryan Reynolds, Michael Douglas. That is absolutely a hilarious film! 🤣

  9. Great playlist. My favorite today was the orchestral cover of The Good, The Bad and the Ugly theme. It was fantastic, especially the vocal artist who did the wahs and the whistling (the choirs were great, too). Loved the encouragement piece at the end, too. Alana ramblinwitham

    1. Alana,

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly is such excellent song and I loved the 80s western series with Clint Eastwood! He’s such a wonderful actor. I’m glad you liked the arrangement I used in my line up. I thought it was really neat, too.

  10. Absolutely brilliant, love all of these great music to polorize us all. Have a great week. favourite Men at work 💜💜💜

    1. Willow,

Men at Work had only a handful of memorable songs but they’ll forever are immortalized in our brains and will always make us think of the 80s. Wouldn’t it be nice to go back in time to those days?

      1. Men at work were a great group and for those days they were politically, socially and environmentally aware 💜. It would be good if we could go back and change things for the better 💜

  11. Now this is a fun game. You did really well with your selection. I doubt we’d have got any. But then, alas, we mainly like instrumental works!
You have a great week, too.
