Old Tennessee #RMF

The month went by almost as quick as I can snap my fingers.  That’s an exaggeration but you get my point and it won’t be long before I’ll bid the second annual Roctober Mewsic Festival hosted by Mary from Jingle Jangle Jungle goodbye.

Today, I’m sharing a song by Dan Fogelberg and while he was on my radar in the late 70s, I’m not sure about earlier in the decade but I like this tune where the artist sings about the end of October in Old Tennessee (1975).

I’m doubling up on today’s posts. There’s just not enough hours in the day and we see how fast they slip away.  Join my Wild Wednesdays’ linky party below where just about anything goes.

I hope you’ll travel with me back in time tomorrow with my final 2019  edition of Rocktober Mewsic Fest.

  1. Beautiful photos! I could listen to Fogelberg all day long and not tire of him. Thanks so much for joining in #RocktoberMusicFest this year!

  2. My first wife essentially introduced Fogelberg to me (though I had heard a couple of his songs not knowing who did them). We listened to a lot of his music back then and even named our son Daniel in honor of the singer. I continued to be a Fogelberg fan even after my wife and I split. I still enjoy his music even though I don’t listen to it much anymore.

  3. I can comment now. Wonder what happened. I love that video. Way cool. I also need to come see the beauty in your area. Wow.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Cathy. Love and hugs. ♥

  4. It’s crazy how quickly the time goes by. Hard to believe it’s almost November! 😮 That’s a song I’ve never heard before; nice. And, such a lovely photo. 🙂 I have a post going up after midnight and will link up, then. Happy Wednesday!

  5. Hi, Cathy!

Happy Almost Wordless Wednesday to you, dear friend!

I enjoyed Dan F’s tender country song about the signs of autumn giving way to winter which is just around the bend. The pictures used in the video brought back happy memories of when I lived up north and saw colored leaves and snow. “Old Tennessee” is also a song about missing a lover who has moved across the country, wondering when (and perhaps IF) she is coming home.

I enjoyed your picture of Grandfather Mountain from the BRP.

This whole year went by in a flash, I’m sure you agree.

Have a great day, dear friend Cathy!
