Good-morning, kittens & dawgs! February is the month of love, and we typically think romance with Cupid sporting hearts to pierce with his arrow. But, heart breaks are also found in February and we all know nothing hurts like a romantic break up, but a band breakup?! Well…that’s a double heart breaker ~ for the group and their fans. This morning, I’m continuing to share hits of a one the messiest band breakups mentioned in Rolling Stone’s 2013 article in my addition of Breaking up is hard to do series part II with…
The Eagles
The six-time Grammy Award winning Eagles sold more than 150 million records, making them one the world’s best-selling bands of all time. Each album produced stellar hit after hit over their decade reign.
Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, and end it did for The Eagles. Tempers became fueled before and during a concert in 1980 between band members ~ Frey and Felder that had something to do with politics.
Let’s get up and boogie to the very best of The Eagles!
What memories do you associate with your favorite Eagles’ tune?

Girl Crush i’m Already Callin’ You Mine when i Kiss You In The Morning gives me a Brand New Buzz
I haven’t heard Breaking up is Hard to Do in awhile. I like that song!

Wonderful The Eagles, one of my favorites!
“Hotel California”, I just love the song. There are so many moving parts of it and they all come together in it.
“Take It To The Limit.” I heard it the first morning that I was in Washington, D.C. for the Joint Mathematical Meetings. Therefore, it was a little bit of a pun on the weekend!
“Heartache Tonight.” Every time I hear it I laugh. While in college this friend and I worked at a bar. Most nights there was a live band. It was okay and good money. We sat out front and checked IDs. You wouldn’t believe all the high school kids who would try to sneak inside. Anyway, this was the last song the DJ played before closing. So that was ‘decision time.’ If you went home with the dawg or kitten… you’d know by the end of the song. My friend and I’d watch them file out there, either happy or huffy. Like maybe some guy bought drinks all night but the girl didn’t leave with him (for example).
I’m sorry. That probably doesn’t sound funny, but night after night… we knew the ones who were gonna walk out alone.
Lots of good memories! Thanks, Cathy!
