Welcome to Monday’s Mewsic Moves Me! On Friday I made a quick decision to move 4M back to Monday. I’m a woman and have the right to change my mind like a flip of a light switch. Need I explain more? 😀 Incidentally, I mentioned last week Marie’s daughter was having surgery last Monday. As it turned out, the nurse fouled things up by putting her down for the 23rd, instead of the 13. WOW, right? I believe Marie’s daughter wants to wait until June but whenever it happens, I’ll keep you posted.
Mews ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Marie is having computer problems and can’t get into her site or anything. She asked that I give you the heads up and will be ready to boogie with you asap. Keep those fingers cross and say a little prayer that she can get this problem resolved fast.
Okay, it’s time to get this show on the road. This week’s theme is ‘your choice song picks’ week. Are you ready to get this party started? Slip on your blue suede shoes or hit the floor in your socks, I don’t care cause all I want to do is, dance with you!
Today’s artist crossed my ears while traveling home after running errands. DH had SiriusXM dialed to a France radio station when “Combustible” played. Digging the mewsic I snapped a picture of the screen to research Coeur de pirate and found a few other songs to my liking. Hit play to enjoy this short list of tunes!
On behalf of the 4M crew, you’re invited to join us on the dance floor!
🎶 This is a mewsic linky party, all other posts are subjected for removal or labeled – NO MUSIC! 🎶
Keep those tunes playing, your body swaying, and I’ll be boogieing over to see you soon. On Tuesday, join me for Cathy Chats with ‘Nothing but giggles‘! X💋X💋, Cathy

Oooooh! Thanks for the introduction, Marie! I’d never heard of Coeur de pirate – I’m going to have to go check out more of their tunes! I also love that you snapped a picture of the screen when they caught your ear – I do the same thing!! 🙂 Thanks for the dance, my friend – hope you’re having a fabulous long weekend! 🙂
Stacy,
Wait did I have a name change and missed that memo? I don’t see myself much as a ‘Marie’, though. lol Oh boy, I’ve made the same goof a thousand and one times. I couldn’t resist pulling your leg, girlie! I know you’re super busy with WAH, raising kids (that includes hubby), and so much more. I just appreciate you hopping by to boogie with me when you can, my friend. 😀
Wow! This girl is fabulous! I like her whole sound: vocals, musical arrangement, beats. Excellent! Your playlist is playing as I’m working on the Heaven & Hell post for Monday. I am definitely going to add her to my “Artists to Follow” list.
That’s cool how you came across her: I have Sirius but I don’t play around with it much. I have my favorite channels and that’s pretty much what I stick to. I”ll need to explore. Thanks for the heads-up about finding cool stuff on Sirius!
Hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend Cathy.
See you on Monday if you’re around…
Michele at Angels Bark
Michele,
I don’t get much chance to play around with Sirius but DH does. He’s always been like that and when he horns in on a station he likes then I get to enjoy it when I’m in the car. I haven’t listened to Sirius online in a while. I might need to get into the groove of going that more often that I do.
I give great thoughts to Marie and I know all will go really well. I know some of these songs but not the first one.
Thanks, Birgit!
That’s a great song, CK. We like French songs, the language has music in it ♪♫♪This Melody is a Melody d’Amour♪♫♪ I totally agree, I think as long as it’s your life, you can change anything you want 😉 Pawkisses for a wonderful week ahead🐾😽💞
Healing Pawkisses and Purrayers continue for Mary’s daughter <3 <3 <3 and Good Luck Pawkisses are on the way for the computer too, hope it will work properly again <3 <3 <3
Thanks for doing a little boogieing with me, Binky! I’m happy you enjoyed my mewsic selection. My computer is working okay, it was a site issue. You know how crazy that can be at times. 🙂 Have a good week, my furriend!
Watching babies of any kind explore the world is so much fun.
It’s no wonder you wanted to learn more about that group.
Churchill almost always nailed it.
Mimi,
Yep, babies are incredibly cute and curious! Churchill was a wise man.
Marie’s daughter is in my prayers. XO
Thanks, Ellen!
Knee Mail is being said for Marie and he daughter! cool tune! Let’s Rock the House!!
Great voice and great song. Thanks for sharing.
She has a lovely voice, and the advantage of her singing in a language I don’t speak is that I can enjoy it as a separate instrument. I have her marked down in Spotify. Thanks! Wikipedia says her name is Beatrice Martin and she’s a French Canadian.
Love all the big cats: lions, tigers, panthers, leopards…. I like all the little ones, too…
Awww on the kitties. I think most kitties think they are a lion. Good for them.
Love the video. Nice beat.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday. Love and hugs. ♥
That kitten is awww-worthy for sure, and the music is wonderful! You are certainly channeling your inner lion today.
I feel like a lion every day! Music: what’s funny is the other night I was thinking about posting hit songs that were sung in French. There were a bunch that I remember. Thanks for the introductions to these 4.
Cathy,
I hope everyone feels more like a lion with each passing day. You ought to share your French inspired mewsic choices. I’d love to hear what you have on your playlist. 😉
A kitten + a flower = Awww…
Very interesting playlist this morning. I can see why you were intrigued by this artist. I really liked “Combustible”. Thanks for introducing us to something new. Have a blessed week.
Driller,
Kittens and puppies are definitely awww moments. So, are babies but I tend to go with furry babies over human ones. lol Thanks for dropping by this morning.
We’re always ready to discover new tunes any old day!
Brian,
I am, too!
that’s what I like about this bog hop, exposure to music I might otherwise never have heard.
My lil’ songbird,
Discovery of new mewsic shared by fellow bloggy buds or accidental finds that I like sharing is what makes this hop especially fun. Mewsic is the pulse in my day. Thanks for sharing this dance with me!
Hi, Cathy!
Happy 4M Monday, dear friend!
I’m sorry there was a mix-up in scheduling Marie’s daughter’s surgery. I will continue to pray for a favorable outcome.
I can always count on you to introduce exciting new-to-my-ears mewsic acts, and you came through big time again today. I thoroughly enjoyed this song set by French Canadian singer, songwriter and pianist Béatrice Martin aka Cœur de pirate (Pirate Heart). She has the kind of voice you and I appreciate – pure and sweet – and it is mind-cleansing to listen to songs sung in French without knowing the language and being able to immediately translate. The heart does that for us. The arrangements on her recordings create a sound that is refreshingly different. My favorite it the first song and video “Combustble.” It is enchanting and mysterious. The third number, “Ava,” has a distinct retro sound to it, don’t you agree?
Thank you very much for turning me on to this talented young Canadian artist, dear friend Cathy. Have a tunetastic week!
Tom,
You’re quite welcome. I’m glad to see that you’re able to comment again. I tried a few times over the weekend to get yours added on Friday and finally got it to work. I cleared all cookies/history which didn’t allow me to do it, then I updated Firefox and that didn’t fix it and finally, I chatted with my host site support via chat. The person assisting me updated comments and shortly after it worked for me. The Customer Service Rep said it has to do with the browser, so I don’t know. I requested someone to check my site for possible errors. I hope that doesn’t cause more problems. lol
I’m glad you enjoyed Coeur de pirate and I’m glad to know her real name, Beatrice Martin. Thanks for sharing that tidbit. ‘Combustible’ is my favorite of the set and you’re very right, ‘Ava’ has an almost 50ish vibe. Thanks for being so patient and ever so loyal, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!
