Men Vs Women #Humor

Purrs and hisses, Kittens & Dawgs!  This is not only the last Friday of the month but another week is coming to an end.  That’s fine by me. I’m ready to relax a bit, how about you?  Why don’t we have some good belly laughs with this edition of Friday Sillies – Men Vs Women Humor!

I’m rounding things out with these Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by the lovely, Ellen and Lorraine.

1. I get to join in with many of bloggers doing the most fun stuff every week.

2. So far, 2019 is not exactly going as planned.

3. I will never tire of eating ice cream.

4. Can you believe that January is nearly gone?

I have a follow-up appointment with the oral surgeon for my TMJ injury, so I may not get around to each of you as planned. Just leave a breadcrumb in comments and I’ll visit you asap.  Have a good week and I hope to see you on the dance floor for freebie mewsic pick on Mondays Mewsic Moves Me!

  1. Those are all funny! I hope your visit to your oral surgeon goes well.

  2. Oh those are funny! Men should truly know better. That picture of the well dressed woman just shows how bad other women can be. I remember dressing up with a nice hat and gloves and I drew snickers! The men loved it! I did too and it didn’t dissuade me and I still like dressing up…my favourite are my pajamas at home:) I have had lockjaw before…more than once and I feel bad for you that you have to undergo an operation so thinking nothing but the best for you and I know you will do fine. Oh and Pach baby food was quite good but stay away from the blueberry one

    1. Birgit,

I’m with you. I love to dress up. It makes me feel good and other people seem to enjoy it. I’ve heard of people having lockjaw and always hated the thought of having that happen. I didn’t mean to give the impression that I needed surgery. I didn’t. My dentist just wanted me to follow through with seeing one after my accident making sure nothing was broken. My appointment on Friday was just a follow-up and I got a good report. 🙂

  3. There are two things in this world that I want no part of… One is losing an argument to a woman; the other is winning an argument with a woman… Neither end well.

  4. Good luck with your visit to Dr. Turbodrill!

The “punish the husband” had me ROTFLMAO. All too true! (And he probably deserved it!)

    1. Everything went well with the oral surgeon. I have another follow-up in a couple of weeks but you know how doctors are. They just want to make sure everything is okay before releasing you from their care. The funny about ‘punish the husband’ is a good one. That used to be the way things happened but not so much anymore.

  5. Hi Cathy; Funny stuff! 😀 Loved the “brain” joke especially. I hope all goes well at the doctor’s. Here’s to speedy healing and no more mishaps for 2019!

    1. Debbie,

Yeah, here’s to no more mishaps for the rest of the year! That’s something I’m all for. 🙂 My jaw catches a bit from time to time but it’s doing a lot better. I’m so thankful nothing is broken.

  6. Love all the funnies. I like the one about mom coming to live with the daughter to make her husband pay. That’s brilliant.

I linked you to Feline Friday. The linky is there, so I don’t know why you didn’t see it???

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Cathy. Love you. ♥

    1. Sandee,

I suspect the reason I couldn’t see the linky is that of technical issues. I find that sometimes the communication between the websites gets crossed and things don’t appear as they should. I know at one point I saw it and then it went poof! I thought perhaps, you were working on it but it could’ve been linky was doing something on their end.

      1. No, I’d not done anything with the linky since I originally put it in the post. I do know that WordPress has it’s own issues from time to time. 🙂

  7. Hi, Cathy!

I am here for your Friday Fun Stuff and hoping you are in much better shape than you were last week at this time.

I enjoyed your men vs. women Sillies. They all ring with truth, especially “arguing with a woman is like getting arrested.” The only difference is that women do not bother to give you a “Miranda warning.” They wait until time passes and you think the spat has been forgotten, then ambush you by casting your words up to you and setting off another argument. The meme about the way women dress speaks to the topic you and I have discussed many times over the years. As a hetero man who loves and respects women, I admit that I miss the bygone era when most women enjoyed dressing in a style that emphasized their femininity, their difference from men. Women today who show off their figures are often mocked and ridiculed by other women who label them “bimbos.” Any woman can look more attractive if she takes pride in her appearance. It seems like too many have given up, no longer want to put forth the time and effort to look their best, and attack the ones who still do enjoy playing the age old game of opposite sex attraction. I have the same criticism of men who do not take pride in their appearance. My dad wore a suit and tie nearly all the time, and I learned to always dress nicely and look my best from his example.

I enjoyed the new to me sound of the Danish-Norwegian dance-pop group Aqua doing their 1997 hit “Barbie Girl.” Female vocalist Lene Nystrøm has a a little girl voice that is ideally suited for the song. I read that Brazilian artist Kelly Key released a version of “Barbie Girl” in 2005:

A lip sync cover of the Kelly Key version featuring Czech model Dominika Myslivcová went viral on YouTube:

I hope your follow-up appointment with the oral surgeon yields good mews, dear friend Cathy. Stay safe and have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Tom,

I guess some women are like that, they just wait for another time to throw something up in their husbands/bfs face. That’s never a good thing to do for either sex to do. I think it all should be like ‘water under the bridge’ and move forward without rehashing old stuff. Nothing good ever comes from it. We’re always talking about how awful people present themselves in public these days and women especially have gotten horrible. No one has pride in their appearance as our parents or grandparents did. It’s so shameful! Thank you for stopping in for some laughs, dear friend! Oh, yes thanks for sharing the YT links. I did check them out and found them loads of fun to watch!
