Memorial Day 4M Rock Freedom Style

Posted on May 28, 2012

Welcome to the 91st edition of Monday’s Music Moves Me!

Marie from Xmas Dolly is the head conductor and helping out on the Love Train to make sure things run smoothly are co-conductors:    Lorie of The Shewbridges of Central Florida,  Callie of JAmericanSpice,  Stacy of Stacy Uncorked, and yours truly!

This month,  RunDMT will be our honorary co-conductor. Thanks, Denise for joining us! Let’s get this dance party started, shall we? This week’s theme is “Freebie” pick or as I’ve renamed it a “Freedom” pick.

“How do I get on board of this Love Train?” Admission to ride is totally doable for anyone.  Are you ready to rock n’ roll with all the other passengers? Then here’s what you do.

  • Go to YouTube insert your music video of choice.
  • Grab the “Monday’s Music Moves Me” Button.
  • Sign the linky, follow us, grab our blog buttons, & leave a comment letting us know you’re a new follower.
  • Shake your bootie with fellow rockin’ bloggers below and why not invite some of your rocker blogger buds to join the fun!

Are you ready to get dancing this week?  Then, link your 4M blog post URL below to join the party and then boogie across the net to visit dance with all the others on the Love Train today. Don’t forget to visit our spotlight dancers listed in the #1 & 2 slots on the linky line-up!

It’s Memorial Day! To honor all the brave men & women who fought for our freedom.

Years ago, we liked going to a local restaurant which unfortunately has closed its doors for the food and live entertainment. The sax player Jason Thompson is excellent. This video doesn’t do him justice, but it’s the best I can find.

This is truly a stumbled upon first for me. I was actually looking for other music-related blog hops when I came across this new artist.

I’m not really a Milla Jovovich fan. In fact, I didn’t even know she was a singer. But, I thought this song had an interesting beat to it.

Do you have that good ole fashion dance fever? Then, continue the party with these blog hops!

Next stop, your place! The Love Train will be pulling into your depot and I’m eager to begin by following you!

Remember those who died for our freedom. Hug or shake the hand of a veteran. And, thank the good Lord you live in a Uniquely Amazing Superb land known as the USA!

What Monday’s music moves you?

Oh wow, I had no idea Milla Jovoich was a singer! Honestly, I’m not the biggest fan of her either and, even though the song does have an interesting beat, not the biggest fan of it either.

But I must say, I LOVE all the other songs you’ve chosen! You and I have a lot of the same tastes in music 🙂

I’m especially a big fan of that sax player-He’s quite talented!

    Have a musical week ^.^

Those are some really great choices… very different and unique.
I’m not really a Milla Jovoich fan either, but that song is pretty cool, thanks for sharing.
Hope you had a great weekend.

Great Job Cathy. I love Kris Allen too. I voted too their Stacy girl. Great saxophone player. I love the sax & so did my dad. His favorite sax song was Harlem Nocturn *not sure of the spelling, but great song. Have a fun day girlfriend. Only four more weeks to start playing. Maybe I’ll cut that to if they at least start playing along two weeks before they can enter because of Memorial Day. Whatcha think?

4M Guidelines: Below are the 4M co-hostess. The rules are simple. Every other week, a suggested (not mandatory) theme is given to build your song picks. We're looking for embedded music to enjoy, one song or several. On the off weeks, we dance to whatever music moves you (your choice)! It's just that easy. Have fun and welcome to the party!
