Meet Me On Monday – New Year’s Eve Plans to Best Physical Feature

It’s the Monday following Christmas and it’s a cold morning. Brrr! I hope you had a glorious holiday. Ours was nice and we even got a white Christmas not only at our parents home in southern WV but here in Knoxville. We broke a record with it being the 3rd snowiest Christmas. By Sunday morning, it looked like a winter wonderland out our window as the wet, heavy snow clung to every branch and blade of grass which resembled fluffy cotton balls.

This week’s Meet Me On Monday questions are below and I hope you’ll find time to play along with me.

1. What are your New Year’s Eve plans? For years, we have enjoyed the quiet warm solitude of ringing in the New Year in the comfort of our own home with just our family.  We turned it into a big production of many wonderful snack foods and having a movie marathon.  Shortly before midnight, we switch the TV to the Dick Clark’s New Year Bash in Time Square to watch the last few seconds as the ball drops ushering in the New Year.  We raise sparkling apple cider proclaiming, “Happy New Year!” to each other and give one another a kiss.  The kiddos didn’t always see the New Year enter but as they got older they loved our this tradition of seeing out the old year and in with the new. A family custom enjoyed many times. We’ll continue with the same tradition this New Year’s Eve, too.

2. How tall are you?  For years, I hated how tall I am.  I always felt like I was short. In actuality, I’m about average for a woman. Now, I proud to say I stand all of 5’2“.  My height can be challenging at times, especially when it comes to getting anything from the farthest shelf in my cabinets.  I often times have to ask from my son or husband to get items out of my reach. But, I am no longer bothered about how tall I am. I’m just right!

3. What is your favorite pudding flavor? There is no question about it, chocolate is my favorite pudding flavor. But, that’s an unfair question because I’d answer chocolate to just about anything that’s sweet. I have a deep passion for chocolate, especially dark chocolate.  Usually, the only way to satisfy my sweet tooth is to indulge myself with a chocolaty treat.

4. What room of the house do you blog the most in?  With the cold settling in most of December, I have resorted to blogging and doing most of my Internet activity at my dining room table. Nope, this isn’t our dining room table to the left.  However, the picture serves as a nice touch.  I normally do everything from my humble office which was once a spare bedroom.  In our next house things will be carefully thought out and planned. Hey, it’s okay to dream!

5. What is your best physical feature?  If you asked my husband this question about me, then I know with complete certainty what his answer is…my legs.  Of course, most people are first drawn to my smooth peaches and cream complexion which I considering a blessing  This helps to give me a radiant youthfulness despite my 40-something years.  Another asset, I’ve discovered over the years are my eyes.  My Loreal brown eye shadows my husband bought me really bring out the green in my hazel eyes.

  4. Hi! I found you from Meet Me on Monday. I’m Rebecca from FreakyFrugalite.com. My husband likes my legs, too, even though they aren’t as shapely as they used to be.

Have a wonderful week, and Happy New Year!
