Maxine, Silence is Golden, & Tone-deafness #humor

Purrs and hisses, Kittens & Dawgs!  Normally this is DH’s off Friday but he’s using some of his comp time this week.  Hopefully, we’re both catching up on some much needed Zs.  We have some chores to tend to before the weather gets too cool but we hope to make time to enjoy the mountains.  Not to worry, I’m not leaving y’all without your weekly dose of giggles. I hope you enjoy today’s random Friday Sillies!

Go by to dance with Mary, hostess of this song-a-day challenge!

This is what Songfacts says about the unusual instrument in this song…

The distinctive sound that leads off the song and plays throughout is a Melodica, a combination keyboard/harmonica instrument they played. The band called it a “Hooter,” which is where they got their name.

That’s a wrap for now but I hope to see you on the dance floor for Songs using unusual instruments on Mondays Mewsic Moves Me!

  1. I love when I learn facts from cartoons. I was introduced to the Melodica from an episode of Bob’s Burgers. LOL!
…I mean, I’d seen the instrument, but I learned the name from the cartoon show.
I love your music choices, Cathy. I’d love to know about your history with music.

  2. I love The Hooters! I saw them in concert in the 1980’s ( I feel so old). Have a great weekend! XO

  3. Loved all the funnies.

The video is a real toe trapper.. Good way to start off the week.

I linked you to Feline Friday because of the kitties.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. Love you. ♥

  4. Great song! I did not know about the keyboard/harmonica – Now I’m really looking forward to your Monday selections,. I wrote my piece so long ago that I have forgotten what I chose – so it’s going to be a surprise for us all 🙂

    Thanks for playing along today!

    1. Mary,

I’m like that too when it comes to my mewsic playlists. I forget half of the time what’s on them so I try to look at them before my post goes live. Thanks for visiting!

  5. I saw the title of your post and thought it was going to be about Maxine Waters. Cringe. “Silence is golden” would apply to her.

    1. Jacqui,

I know dogs/puppies can cause problems but usually I think of cats first. DD#2 had a Corgi that was pretty destructive and she had to get rid of him.
