A friend told me about Mary Chaplin Carpenter and I found this song, which really spoke to my heart. I love her beautiful folk style presentation of this piece that was once done by the Beatles if I’m not mistaken.
I dedicate this song to the love of my life, my best friend, DH.
Enjoy!

This was one of my all time favorite songs of hers, so much so that I played it when I got married the first time….that is the song I walked down the aisle to. So much for that! lol, we were divorced!
It was actually done by John Lennon…..I just LOVE this song! 🙂
This was my wedding song as our first dance. I love it so much!
@CatChat..it really is a beautiful song and I can it being perfect for weddings. Although this song wasn’t played at our wedding, it looks like my husband and I are working on growing old along side the other with 31 years behind us. I hope we have many, many more!
@Mary…you know, I loved your blog header with the country church. It reminded me of the church in Cades Cove, but I didn’t notice you are actually in my neck of the woods. How cool is that? Well, “Howdy, Neighbor!” And, thanks for stopping by to play the MMOM meme. =D
That song always makes me cry. I haven’t heard it in a looong time; it’s one of the most beautiful songs ever.
