January is three-fourths gone but more amazingly is did you notice there are five Fridays this month? Woo-hoo, right? Iām not sure why that excites me but it does. Call me strange or perhaps that lost part of me that did the whole 9 to 5 thing mentally clicked on briefly. What ever the reason, itās Friday and Fridays are for getting your R&R face on. A good way to do that is with some laughs.
Technology is complicated enough and now, Iām asked to take it out for potty breaks and walks?
Why didnāt I think of this? Kids are smart todayā¦ah wait, no the cartoonist is the smart one because we all know that this line of thinking can only come from a grown-up. If I believed in reincarnation, then I hope I can carry over the knowledge that I gain in this life into my next.
Ellen at 15andMeowing and Lorraine at Four-Legged Furballs share each Thursday four blank statements for us to copy and paste to create an entry for their Friday Friendly Fill-ins. Rounding things out this is how I filled in the blanks.
1. I am particular about our next house we buy. Weāve lived in ours for 40 years so we know what we want and donāt want in our our next home purchase. Why shell out lots of dough if youāre not going to be happy?
2. My arm is doing better. You might recall my mentioning of nerve-related pain. Itāll never go away on its own but at the very least the sorest area that got me to re-evaluate the need to see a doctor has improved.
3. The birth of our first child is a moment I will never forget. I can also say the same thing about each of children, as well as our granddaughter. I was fortunate to be in the delivery room with my daughter when her little girl was born. What a beautiful experience!
4. Have you ever heard of underfloor heating or Chinese Curly Chicken? I didnāt know such a thing existed but often wished for it. I hate walking on cold floors. Part of our problem is we have crawl space under our house and not enough insulation. I know that wonāt fix the problem entirely but it would help. The underfloor heating would fix for sure and I betcha itās pretty darn expensive to put in place. Chinese Curly Chicken isnāt a food dishā¦well, maybe you can make it into an entree, but itās a chicken with what looks like a curly locks.
This is Ellenās 5th furbaby to cross the rainbow bridge in a year. She has such a big heart for her feline family.Kindly keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you!

So, if there are 5 Fridays this month, there will be 5 Fridays in July. Because itās a leap year. (In a non leap year, January and October are the same.)
I lived in an apartment that had a heating system like that in the ceiling. It was a very gentle heat. I would love to have that in a place again, but the drawback was that the place didnāt have an HVAC, so no A/C in the summer.

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I knew about the floor heating, but not the curly chicken. I hope you find a house that has everything you want. Thank you for this beautiful image of my sweet Millie. Have a nice weekend! XO

Funny stuff! Iāve never seen a Chinese Curly Chicken before. One of my clients (who is very well off) installed heated floors when building his new house. I can imagine that would be SO cozy! We use rugs to keep the chill off the floors. So sorry about your friendās cat.

Happy Friday to you!
The floor heating was a standard feature of the Eichler homes built in California in the 1950s-1960s. https://www.realtor.com/advice/buy/what-are-eichler-homes/
Hi Cathy
I love your funnies. And omg that curly haired chicken is quite a looker!! Iāve never seen that before!!
I love all the funnies and the dog and cat conversation is spot on. Cats can do something bad and not feel bad about that at all.
I hear you on your next home. We did the same thing. Very happy with our choice.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Love and hugs. ā„
