Josh Wilson presents Noel

Awww Mondays hosted by Sandee from Comedy Plus.

Howdy-hi, folks!  We’re in the last month of the year which means on the Monday’s Music Moves Me dance floor we’ll be sharing Christmas music each week throughout December.  If you’re a Grinch or Scrooge type then you might want to sit this one out…or you could just hang around, maybe the sounds of Christmas will melt your cold hearts into a pile of warm goo.

I can’t believe it’s been several years since I was introduced to Josh Wilson with Christmas Changes Everything by former 4M co-hostess JAmericanspice (Callie).  Today, I’m sharing Josh’s Noel album playlist featuring this song and another I really like Jesus Is Alive.  Contemporary Christian music might not be your thing but I invite you to open your mind by lending your ear to sample Josh Wilson’s music!

Playlist tracks include: 1. Christmas Changes Everything  2. Almost Christmas  3. The First Noel  4. Jesus Is Alive  5. Noel – Do You Hear What I Hear?  6.  O Come, O Come Emmanuel  7. Go, Tell It On The Mountain  8. Angels We Have Heard On High  9. Carol of The Bells  10. Once A Year

This month’s honorary co-hostess is Marie from Xmas Dolly

❤️🎵❤️🎵❤️🎵❤️🎵❤️🎵❤️🎵

This is a mewsic linky party. Every other week we have a suggested mewsic theme (see side menu) to build your song set around and all participants share YouTube or Vimeo videos for our mewsic enthusiasts.  Failure to meet this basic guideline puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.

Day 27: Christmas S.a.D. Challenge

Are you familiar with Josh Wilson?  Who is/are your favorite artists?

Although Christmas is now in the past, I still have a few days left this week to continue my Christmas S.a.D. Challenge.  You’re invited to bring your favorite hot beverage by my place in the morning for more holiday cheer while you wind things down around the house or in your life, reflecting on the good, the bad, and the in-between.  I hope the new year brings nothing but blessings to you and yours, dear friend.  Have a boogietastic week!  X💋X💋, Cathy

  1. Aww, that little girl and the bird was so cute! I was able to listen to all but one of the songs (Angels We Have Heard on HIgh) that Firefox said it would not open, and didn’t give a reason I understood. Anyway, some nice music here. Enjoyed all of the instrumentals, and Almost Christmas and Once a Year were my favorites of the songs with lyrics. If only more of us lived the wisdom of songs like Once a Year, this world would be a much better place. Alana ramblinwitham

  2. Great songs. Thanks for all you and I will take May of 2022 and get you the themes later in the week. Happy New Year to you and your family.

    1. Patrick,

Thanks for stepping up to the plate but John reserved May already. Would you like to pick a different month? Just let me know, my friend!

    1. Mimi,

I love the message of Christian music and enjoy listening to it but it’s generally not my preferred genre. There are a lot of contemporary gospel artists I’m just beginning to learn about and appreciate in recent years which is super nice.

    1. Brian,

I pick up most of my music discoveries online visiting others but occasionally something grabs my attention playing on the radio. If you want to diversify your music interest then consider joining the 4M crew each week. This has been an excellent outlet to broaden my taste and knowledge of different genres and artists. It’s been a wonderful experience. 🙂

  3. This has probably been my worst Christmas ever, but all in all it wasn’t all that bad. I have so much to be thankful for.

    Happy New Year!

    1. Lee,

I’m sorry this Christmas hasn’t been the best for you but when you can see through the mess to realize it isn’t as bad as you thought then that’s a good thing. Gratitude can (re)shape an attitude fast. There are things all around us. It just takes opening our eyes(heart) to see the blessings given to us. I hope you continue to focus on the positive in your world instead of the junk or the chaos or whatever pulls you down, dear friend!

  4. The Josh Wilson songs were pretty good!

I was looking at the MMMM page for 2022, and would like to volunteer for May and September!

    Happy New Year!

  5. I’m listening to your beautiful songs while I’m writing, CK. Love that first song. I can’t remember if I ever heard of Josh Wilson, but it is a keeper for sure. Pawkisses for a Happy Monday. Do you think that little girl is sharing that birdie…🙊🐾😽✨

  6. I didn’t know what to do today so I didn’t. I’ll try to do a MMMM post at least once a month.

Love your playlist and love your Awww. Adorable.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs. ♥

    1. Sandee,

No worries, my dear. Just remember whatever music moves you then that’s what we want to hear. You know, I don’t care if there’s a prompt or not, if someone puts up music then I’m happy as a clam. I’ll be looking forward to boogieing with you next Monday, my dear!

  7. Hi, Cathy!

Happy Pawww-some 4M Monday, dear friend! I hope you and DH had a lovely Christmas holiday weekend.

Awww, I wanna smooch that cute birdie. Just look at the expression of glee on the little girl’s face!

Yessum, my blogging philosophy has always been to keep an open mind and find positive things to honestly express in response to content offered by a friend. Josh Wilson is a new to me artist, and I found several of his album tracks to my liking. For example, I enjoyed the refreshingly different uptempo instrumental version of “The First Noel.” Next, I like Josh’s rendition of the traditional carol about the little lamb and the shepherd boy: “Do You Hear What I Hear?” I also very much enjoyed the dramatic “O Come, O Come Emmanuel.” I love “Carol of The Bells,” vocal or instrumental versions, the this instrumental on Josh’s album is my favorite track of all. The final song is also a great one and carries an important message, one that you and I have spread throughout our years of blogging. The spirit of Christmas and the love, kindness, generosity and goodwill it brings forth in people, need not be confined to the last few weeks of December. If we let go of hate and come together in late December, we can do it all year round. Imagine the society we would have, the world we could have. “Love will always find the time. Love is more than once a year.”

Thank you for the inspirational mewsic to start the last week of the year, dear friend Cathy!

    1. Tom,

You’re so right, if we can find time to put forth love in the last month of the year then why not do all the time? Our world would be so transformed if everyone adapted the spirit of love 365 days. What a beautiful thing that would be, too. I’ll keep spreading the love one person at a time and if you do the same then maybe we can make a difference our society needs. 🙂 Oh yeah, I’m glad you enjoyed Josh Wilson. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on his songs from this album.
