Injun Putty Tat

Posted on April 10, 2021

By now, you know I am sharing pencil illustrations of memorable Looney Tunes cartoon characters in the A to Z Challenge the community of insane inspiring people and you my loyal readers. 😉  I mentioned I might have to get creative with some of the letters of the alphabet and while there is a lone character for the letter I I did not see it as a child.  I did draw Inki <—link to image] but he’s not my feature for today.  Instead, I found inspiration a few days ago in the Tom Tom Tomcat YT video I shared in my Granny post and illustrated an Injun Putty Tat.

Pencil sketch

Unfortunately, the messy shading didn’t translate very well when I photographed my drawing.  Eventually I will colorize all my designs in this series which will be a nice perk for you to catch later on.

Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your day.  Please leave a direct link for today’s post in comments to ensure others can find an easy way back to you or at the very least make sure your Gravatar profile is updated with your active blog address.  I’m heading over to the A2Z headquarters to see who’s joined the party now.  I hope to see you again Monday with for the next letter in the alphabet in my Looney Tunes Art Sketch series. Have a funtastic weekend! X💋X💋 Cathy

I think your sketch came out excellent! I am not familiar with Injun Putty Tat and amazed you found the perfect cartoon character for the letter “I”! 😘

That was quite an inspiration, to draw the “injun cat.”

I enjoyed all things associated with Native Americans growing up and I don’t care if the shading isn’t perfect, I liked it. Did Injun Puddy Cat come from the 1969 Injun Trouble? Because, if so, it’s after my childhood which is probably why I don’t remember such a character.

Not sure I remember Injun Putty Tat but you did a good job on the drawing. I hope you send notice out once you get them colorized.

I think your drawing is perfect. It’s interesting that we both had trouble with the letter I – I thought I’d get much further through the alphabet before that happened.

Your drawing looks fine, I think maybe just a little brighter to get the details. Pencil drawings are actually hard to photograph and scan. I usually try to add some contrast or turn into into a dark blue color.

    Have a lovely day.

    Hi Cathy,
I think the messy shading translated very well. I think it’s a great piece of work. Injun Putty Tat…Colorizing will be nice and I’ll definitely be looking forward to that but … the originals are always the best. I was kind of a slacker yesterday so now I’m playing catch-up. You can visit me and see how I ignore negativity

    Have a great day.
    Cheers,

    Hi, Cathy!

Happy Saturday, dear friend! First came Friday, now here comes I-day! 🙂

I first want to thank you for visiting Shady’s Place late last evening. It was sweet of you. You did a wonderful job on your Injun Putty Tat composition. I admire how you drew the cluster of teepees around the kunning kitty. I learned that teepee is also spelled “tepee” and “tipi,” and that it is different from a wigwam which is a rounded dome-shaped dwelling used by native North American tribes. Yessum, it will be fun to have your A to Z sketches show up in posts throughout the year In Living Color. I look forward to that and know I will remember all of them.

Have a safe and happy weekend dear friend Cathy!

Bible verse of the day

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
