Good-morning! It’s time to start the week all over again. I missed out on last week 4M theme, but it’s freebie style this week. With that, then you know where I’m gonna with today’s music, kittens & dawgs. That’s right! My favorite band from the 60s that fits perfect with songs of bands and/or people with animal names in them is none other than Herman’s Hermits.
Come on y’all, it’s time to hit the dance floor with these classics by Herman’s Hermits from the flower power era.
Visit Herman’s Hermits official website
This British pop sensation formed a year after I was born in 1962. I remember my uncle Roger singing I’m Henry the Eighth, I Am when I was small. I recall thinking it was a funny song, but in retrospect, I believe it was my uncle that was funny. He loved making me laugh.
Which Herman’s Hermits song is your favorite? I know, I know that’s an impossible question to answer, if you’re like me because they had too many darn good tunes to pick just one. That being said, I think I’d go with I’m Into Something Good simply because the tune is so upbeat and it makes me feel happy!

Or, if you like tell us where else you’d like for us find ya…
I reached out to Herman’s Hermits’ Peter Noone by email asking him to stop by my little niche to say hi. We’ll see, if he gets my request for this tiny favor and who knows maybe he’ll find time to boogie with us. 😉 Thanks for joining me on the dance floor this morning. Have a marvelous tunetastic week!

OMG haven’t heard this song in forever. Love it.
Herman’s Hermits is just one of those groups you never get tired of! I’m happy the song brought back such fondness. 😉
Enery the Eighth – How fun! I think I’m into something good.

hee hee … 🙂
How innocent that music is compared to the antithesis of music known as (c)rap* that assaults our ears today!
* (C)rap: the only word in the English language that begins with a silent “C” …
Paul, I feel actually the same about rap music. But, you said it funnier than I could ever. lol
I’m In To Something Good! I’ve always loved that song, but never really knew who sang it! Thanks for solving the mystery! LOL
I’m glad I unlocked this mystery for you. There has been many times where I don’t know who the artist is or the name of the song, so I depend on Google to figure out what I want to know by using keywords from a song. I love the internet. It makes life so much easier. 😀
I actually don’t know any songs by Herman’s Hermits, can you believe that? But I do dig their look! Hopefully I’ll get a chance to listen to the entire album soon 🙂
I don’t know them, but music requires no introduction to dance 🙂
Thank you for a new one Cathy!
Have a blessed week!
Really? I’m surprised you haven’t heard of Herman’s Hermits, but then again you’re younger than me and unless you happen to listen to a radio station that plays retro music (tunes from the 60s), then you won’t hear much by them otherwise. Like you said, music requires no intro to dance. Why you don’t even have to understand the lyrics, if it has a fantastic beat then you’re ready to boogie, right? 😀
My goodness, my uncle did the same thing! I liked the one you picked, and “Can’t you hear my heartbeat”. Hard choice… great spin today!!
What a small world! Our uncles are probably just nuts is all. lol
Very funny memories of Herman’s Hermits.!
Now how did I know that was the song! I saw Herman’s Hermits name & I started singing this one. Ahhhhhhhh high-school days! FUNNNNNN Thanks for sharing and thanks much for the dance! Have rockin’ week!
“No Milk Today”: it was the flip side of “There’s A Kind Of Hush.” Kind of melancholy, different for them.
Great choice. I hope you get a response.
Herman’s Hermits are a favorite of my mom. 🙂 Great choice, Cathy! That would be cool if Peter Noone makes an appearance to dance along – *fingers crossed* 🙂 Thanks so much for the dance – enjoy your week! 🙂
The first record I bought was Herman’s Hermits. My favorite song is Ferry Cross the Mersey
