Heartbreaker

Change in plans…At the time I began my posts for this month, I had no idea that DH would need to use some of his vacation time or risk losing it. That being said,  I’ll be away from Blogosphere for the most part until bright an early Tuesday morning, Oct. 22. I’ll do my best to boogie with you but if I slip off the dance floor for too long then know I will eventually make by to see you, so save a dance for me. 😉

Thanks for joining for the second annual Roctober Mewsic Festival hosted by Mary from Jingle Jangle Jungle and I’m happy to join along with her in the fun.

This month, I’m revisiting some of the classic 70s mewsicians and songs that either I didn’t catch the artist/band name or just forgot that I loved in my teen year. I hope you’ll stick around to enjoy some lost gems from the past.

Many of us remember the 70s sensation Pat Benatar who blew us all away with her hit song, ‘Heartbreaker’ off her debut album, In the Heat of the Night. I was half expecting to discover it reached the top of the chart in 1979. It only peaked at #23 on the US Billboard Hot 100 but it started on the chart for four and a half months. I guess that explains its extreme popularity.  Pat Benetar might be my favorite female hard rocker. Hit play to enjoy Pat’s icon hit and nine other tracks from her first album.

This past April, Pat was a guest artist on America Idol. She still has the right stuff and delivers vocally.  WOW! I hope you’ll travel with me back in time tomorrow with another edition of Rocktober Mewsic Festival!

  1. We’ve seen her a few times in concert and have always enjoyed her shows except the last one where she wanted no pictures taken. The whole show was a little different too. We probably won’t see her again.

  2. Great album! I loved her videos and also had her music in my collection. Hope you are having a wonderful vacation time.

  3. I remember that song. I loved the music of the 70s. Really good music.

Have a fabulous time with hubby. Love and hugs. ♥
