Heart and Soul #BoTB showdown RESULTS

Greetings y’all and thanks for checking in today to see who won in last week’s BoTB.

This showdown started off strong for the LA  based two guy two gal group (Cal Waymon, Carl Gilbert, Jean Smith, and Alda Denise Edwards), The Incredibles and it looked like they were going to win by a landslide but then before I could blink an eye, Prudence Johnson was tied with the foursome.  Forget ole Chris and  Raza, no one cared for the reggae version. While I’m not sure I would have voted for the pair, I thought their uptempo cover sounded fun.  By mid-week Prudence pulled ahead taking the lead. A few other votes filter through and the final tally concluded with a narrow victory 8 to 7 for PRUDENCE JOHNSON!

Thanks to everyone who made this an interesting and fun battle.  You might result postings today on most of these bloggers below:

This is a short month and with first falling on a Sunday, I decided to push my next battle off to March 2nd. Mark your calendar so to not miss out on that fun. Meanwhile, join me tomorrow with Songsational Sundays!

    1. Eugenia,

I like it when the showdowns are tight, too. It makes the battle interesting and you just never know how it’ll swing until it’s over.

  1. Hi, Cathy!

Thanks for reporting the result of your mid-month band battle, dear friend. On day one, the vote was so strong for The Incredibles that I predicted an embarrassingly lopsided victory for them. I went as far as to phone my bookie and bet big $$$ on the outcome. 🙂 Goes to show that it’s never over till it’s over. Dear Prudence came out to play and she played to win. Among your followers you seem to have more easy listening jazz lovers than soul fans.

I noted the change in schedule and will look for your next battle March 2. Have a splendid weekend, dear friend Cathy!

    1. Tom,

The way the battle was going I thought The Incredibles had this one sewed up the bag. I’m glad I didn’t put my money down on ’em. Between the and Prudence, I’m not sure how I would’ve gone. I like both of them quite well but then I also enjoyed the reggae cover which no one like. 🙂
