Goodbye, 2023!

Happy New Year, friends! How is life treating you?  I hope you’re healthy and happy.  I don’t make a formal list of resolutions but one thing I want to do in 2024 is to simplify things.  I’ve mentioned to you on an occasion how I spend too much time on the computer and I am going to make more effort this year to change that.  I’ve neglected things doing other things, so it’s time to change that. Perhaps in the coming days I can lay out a game plan to follow.

Meanwhile, welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me!  This week’s theme is songs about hellos & goodbyes or old & new or anything that comes to mind regarding the passing of another year.  You can interpret, even bend the prompt to suit what’s going through your head.  Just remember, this isn’t work but fun!

Saying Hello to New Beginnings!

Inspirational instrumental music by Tim Janis

This is a music link up.  Your post must contain at least one song or your URL is marked “No Music”.

4M co-hostess are featured in my right side bar underneath the banner. The guidelines are simple.  Every other week, a suggested (not mandatory) theme is given to build your song picks. YouTube and other music sites have options to create and embed playlists or individual songs into your post. On the off weeks, we dance to whatever music moves you (your choice)! To access the party, add your music post below, and visit others on the dance floor. Let the party begin!

For anyone interested, at 12am this morning, my first BOTB for 2024 kicked off.

New years are for new beginnings and starting off the year Marie is stepping back full time as the queen of this party.  It’s been a joy to help keep the 4M dance floor afloat while Marie got her footing again in Blogosphere.  I will continue as co-hostess while running behind the scene things for the party.  Let’s make this party great in 2024!

That’s it for now, watch for new posts from CAAC to publish soon!  Have a boogietastic week!  X💋X💋, Cathy

    1. Granny,

It looks like you got your URL added to the linky party. 👏 At first I was concerned that I had the dates wrong and it expired locking you out but that’s not the case. Thanks for joining the fun! 😽

  1. Oops…hit the send button by accident..meant to say HNY to a wonderful person. I really enjoyed all the music..so long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Goodbye until the next post

    1. Nicole,

Thanks for visiting. I’m glad you enjoyed Estas Tonne. He was a happy discovery in my search. Here’s hoping 2024 is fabulous for you, too.

  2. I love Estas Tonne! Thanks for sharing one of his great performances here, and the other tunes as well. All the best to you and your family for 2024!

    1. Debbie,

Estas Tonne is new to me until now. This video really moved me so I knew it was just perfect for my line up. Thanks for visiting and all the best to you in 2024, my dear!

  3. First, Cathy, let me thank you for keeping Music Moves Me afloat. It’s a lot of work keeping a blog hop alive, and you should get a huge round of applause for what you did at a time when Marie had to step back. Now that she’s ready, I hope you get some needed rest. And second, thank you for the intro to Estas Tonne. When the video first started, I didn’t quite know what to think (especially when I saw the burning incense stick attached to his guitar). He’s a great guitar player – had me not wanting the set to end. And, The Sound of Music is one of my favorite movies. The end always has me in tears – I haven’t seen it in several years. Finally Happy New Year to you! Alana ramblinwitham

    1. Alana,

You’re too kind. Thank you. I was happy to help Marie and will continue to be around doing what’s needed for as long as needed. I hope to know that you enjoyed Estas Tonne. This recording of his really gripped me, too. I plan to revisit his music to see what other jewels I might discover. I haven’t seen The Sound of Music in years, either. It has its happy and sad moments for sure but the story has a triumphant end with their escape to a new life. That took some courage to do what they did and many others like them at that time. I just can’t imagine, can you? Happy New Year wishes to you, my friend!

  4. Wishing you and your family Happy New Year. Somehow, I got on this list twice. Sorry about that. Thank you for all you do.

    1. Patrick,

I got it fixed, no worries! I send to you warm wishes for love, happiness, good health, and fortune to grace your life throughout 2024, my friend!

  5. Goodness. You’re doing MMMM and so is Marie. I’m confused. She told me she was taking over as you needed a break. I did the linkies for her. Sorry, Cathy.

    1. Sandee,
I guess there was a break down in communication. I volunteered to continue providing the linky and manage the 4M theme page until Marie was more ready. It’s possible she sent an email telling me that she asked you to do the linky but I didn’t get it. Things like this happen. Many happy returns to you this year, my friend!

    2. Sandee,

And a very happy new year to you, darlin’! I’m sorry for the confusion but it’s all good. Trust me! 😉 Thanks for joining the party, my friend!

  6. Excellent selections today. Estas Tonne is certainly new to me but well worth listening to. Happy New Year to you and yours.
