Funny Animal Pictures #FridaySillies

Purrs and hooowdy, kittens & dawgs!  Another week bites the dust. This is DH’s off Friday, so I’m sharing nothing but sillies with you. I hope you today’s contributions make you giggle a lot with these Friday Sillies!

A blonde and a redhead have a ranch. They have just lost their bull. The women need to buy another, but only have $500. The redhead tells the blonde, “I will go to the market and see if I can find one for under that amount. If I can, I will send you a telegram.” She goes to the market and finds one for $499. Having only one dollar left, she goes to the telegraph office and finds out that it costs one dollar per word. She is stumped on how to tell the blonde to bring the truck and trailer. Finally, she tells the telegraph operator to send the word “comfortable.” Skeptical, the operator asks, “How will she know to come with the trailer from just that word?” The redhead replies, “She’s a blonde so she reads slow: ‘Come for ta bull.'”

That’s a wrap for now but I hope to see you on the dance floor for freebie mewsic pick on Mondays Mewsic Moves Me!

    1. Birgit,

Isn’t it amazing how something like “The Fox” could be such a mega-hit? I often wonder if it’s the melody that makes these novelty songs so popular more than the lyrics. The mewsic definitely makes me wanna dance.

  1. Hi, Cathy!

I got a kick out of your animal memes, especially the grinning moose. I also laughed out loud when I came to the punchline of your dumb blonde joke. 🙂 I remember watching that bizarre “Fox” video a couple of years ago and it was fun to see it again. To refresh my memory, I did some reading and was reminded that Ylvis is a Norwegian comedy duo that has been releasing records since the start of the millennium. Their electronic novelty dance ditty “The Fox” went viral and became the top trending vid of 2013 on YouTube.

Thank you for the FridaySillies, dear friend Cathy, and have a safe and happy weekend!

    1. Tom,

I had not heard of Ylvis before his hit novelty song, “The Fox” and I admit at first I was not into it but then it wore on me and I grew to like that silly thing. Thanks for sharing the tidbit that about Ylvis which I found interesting. I’m not even sure if I remember if I’ve heard anything else by Ylvis, so I will have to check YouTube for more of their mewsic. I’m glad you got a laugh out of my Friday Sillies. The blonde joke cracked me up and those animals memes cracked me, too. 🙂

    1. Any time, Mimi! The weekends aren’t the best for me to generally make my blogging rounds but I try when I can to respond. I sure appreciated you stopping in for some giggles, though. Have a good evening!
