Friendship

A Friend Is Like A Flower…
A friend is like a flower — a rose to be exact,
Or maybe like a brand new gate –that never comes unlatched
A friend is like an owl, both beautiful and wise
Or perhaps a friend is like a ghost, whose spirit never dies.
A friend is like those blades of grass — you can never mow,
standing straight, tall, and proud — in a perfect little row
A friend is like a heart that goes –strong until the end.
Where would we be in this world — if we didn’t have a friend.
~Emma Guest

 A friend loveth at all times…Proverbs 17:17

When thinking about your friends, who is your best friend other than your husband?

What’s the first thing that pops in your mind about your friend?

Is this someone you can share anything thing – good or bad with?

Thanks for sharing your morning with me and being my friend. Why not join me in a cup of coffee, as I visit with some of my bloggy friends for a little random chat and if you wanna get in on the fun – create your own post and link up!

  1. What a beautiful poem 🙂

Being sick, I don’t get to see my friends that often and I do feel quite disconnected from all my friends. It is quite hard, but I’ve learned to be my own best friend over the years. Until my boyfriend came along, but you said besides our significant others. Lol

  2. Love the emma Guest poem! You’ve got a nice warm, friendly blog site here–makes me feel at home! Newest follower from the GFC blog hop. Would love it if you could visit my humorous blog site and follow back. Thanks for sharing!

  3. I love poems by Emma Guest! I do have a best friend besides my hubby (and not counting my older sister and my favorite aunt…heh!) She and I have been friends for over 20 years and even though she lives in Nevada and I in Pennsylvania, anytime we talk on the phone (which I’m not good at doing) or any time we have the chance to see each other in person, it’s like no time has passed at all. She’s been there for me through some really rough times and vice versa – it’s nice to have someone to talk to and lean on – especially since guys tend to be ‘fixers’ and not really good listeners…heh!! Thank YOU for being an awesome bloggy friend – I think bloggy friends are just as cool and important as IRL friends. 🙂

  4. It’s funny; I don’t think I have one really. I mean, I tell my mom a lot of things and I have a few good friends in town with whom I talk online and we get together when we can. I know they’d do anything for me but we’re not always with each other or on the phone, which I still seem to equate with best friend.
