If we couldn’t laugh we would all go insane.
~

Since January of this year, I began using the Tenzin News Magazine theme on my site. I really liked the layout but not long after I installed it, a pesky link showed up at the top of my Homepage. I feared it might be something malicious, but it came and went after updating features on my site and figured it was just a programming bug. Still, it bothered me. Yesterday, the link appeared again. This time no updates were needed. I decided it was time for that theme to go. I am road testing a new WordPress theme, Newspaper Minimalistal. It has a similar appearance to the other layout, but it doesn’t distort and cut off my post images. I haven’t customized the appearance much yet but plan to. Please let me know if this new theme does anything strange.
No comments needed, click “Like” then go about the rest of your day to enjoy doing whatever makes you happy. Have a giggletastic day!

They are funny and Frost is right. Love the cat and dog. Good luck with that thingy you downloaded…you can tell I am not computer literate.
I didn’t download anything. I just installed a new blog theme. I was concerned with that link showing up on the other layout that it might be malware which can harm your computer or steal your data. I can’t stress enough the importance of never clicking on links on websites and in emails. Exercise extra judgement anything cyber related. Hackers are terribly smart. Yes, Robert Frost was right. If I didn’t have laughter then I’d be in a loony bin. lol
These are all fun, and I love the one about the cat. Thus far, your new theme seems to be working properly.
Last night I got a header in place but this morning it was gone and a link like with the other theme was at the top in its place. After monkeying around with it this morning, I got at a header in place with no sign of that suspicious link. Let’s keep our fingers crossed it’s fixed and I don’t have to go to something else. I’m wondering if perhaps this is a way for the theme developer to get you to buy a license for their product.
I hope your theme works for you, Cathy. I use WordPress.com, Full Site Editing themes, that come with my plan, which work well for me. Also, I am able to easily make changes or change themes.
I’ve always used themes through WP. I’m not sure Arvixe, my host site, has anything like this available to me. I need to poke around on my account to see if I’m missing something. I’m thinking about changing hosts next year when it runs out unless I change my mind.
There’s a difference between WordPress.com and other hosts. WordPress.com has their own themes and offers different plans. The Full Site Editing themes offer more options, otherwise WordPress.com themes are more restrictive.
Thanks for the explanation. I suspect my host site is limited on some of the fluffy stuff. I am definitely going to check into this to learn more, though.
You’re welcome, Cathy. I’ve used WordPress.com and WordPress.org, and for my purposes, WordPress.com works best. My plan cost $96. annually, and my domain $20. Do you use the block editor?
Yes, I use the block editor. Is that an extra cost with WP dot com?
No, it’s not an extra cost.
Love the cat one.
Very accurate.
Those were so good, love the tooth fairy!
Bwahahahahahahaha. Love them all, but the cat one is spot on.
I linked this post to Happy Tuesday.
Have a fabulous day and week, Cathy. Love and hugs. ♥
Anyone who is or has been a cat caregiver understands that one quite well but I think it’s universally understood by everyone the way cats think. Bwahahahahaha! Thanks for visiting and adding this post to your linky, darlin! xo
