Good morning, kittens and dawgs! Last week, I featured battle song Eternal Flame by The Bangles and asked you my pets to pick between Candice Accola and Human Nature covering this classic 80s hit. It was a close, but clean fight. The final tally revealed….
Candice – 10 (including my vote)
Human Nature – 8
Congratulations Candice and thanks to every body who participated. Don’t forget to see how the other showdowns went down with Stephen the official BoTB roll call keeper and now it’s time to hit the dance floor with the 4M crew. Whoo-hoo!
This is Curious as a Cathy signing off with a few songs from It’s Always the Innocent Ones – Candice…
Psst, Psst, one more thing before you hop away, don’t forget my #WW linky party goes live at 12AM EST (tell your friends) and I hope you’ll share your Wordless Wednesday photos with me this week! 😉

She really is talented! Love the other songs you shared, too! 🙂 Have a great weekend, Cathy – and thanks for the late dance! 😉
Money (That’s What I Want) to be a Billionaire because I heard It Through The Grapevine that Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone so My Girl please Stand By Me
That was a close battle.
And she does have a very good voice.
I was in the win . 🙂
Thanks Cathy and have a good evening.
*HUGS*
Collette, glad you were in the win this go around. It was a close battle and that’s the way I like seeing it play out. It doesn’t always go down this way, though.
New gal to me. She has a nice voice…tight race!
Michelle, yep it was a tight race. Thanks for stopping in to boogie with me!
Thanks for including a few more songs from Candice, makes me even happier for selecting her as the winner. 🙂
Jeffrey, It always makes me giddy when my artist pick wins, too. You’re welcome on the new music share of Candice. I love being able to bring a little happiness to others. 🙂
Candice has a lovely voice, so it’s no surprise to me she won, but really.. close battle! That’s always nice 🙂
Madilyn, I think Candice has a nice voice, too. 🙂
This gal is new to me, but I like her style. Thanks for sharing sweetie. Sure made my day! Hope all is well with you. HUGS to ya Girlfriend!
Marie, thank you for popping over to dance. Have a tunetastic week, my friend!
Cool tunes! I don’t know who this girl is… but glad you posted her. Have a great week!
Melissa, I was first introduced to Candice Accola on the CW show, The Vampire Diaries. She plays the character of Carolina Forbes. In one of the episodes she sings Eternal Flame to her boyfriend. Later, I learned she is also a recording artist. Thanks for dancing with me. Now to boogie over to your place!
I really do love her voice! Have a great week!
Kisma, I like Candice’s breathieness, but she doesn’t always use this part of her voice and to me that’s what makes her style special. Today’s added songs sorta have that quality. Let’s keep the dance party moving. Thanks for boogieing with me with today!
That was a close race and I was on the winning side!

Lee, I was tickled that this battle was a lot closer than I first thought it would turn out. Have a good day.
Hi, dear Cathy!
I think I’ve been on the losing team in every band battle this round! 🙂 These two acts were evenly matched and you came close to finishing with a tie. I love female vocalists and Candice is no exception but, in this case, the producer in me fell for the studio sound of Human Nature.
Thank you for the bonus songs by Candice and for another entertaining BOTB, dear friend Cathy!
Tom, I think most artists sound better in the studio, even those with the slight advantage of performing in a movie or TV show. Human Nature was a good pick, but despite the white noise surrounding Candice I still preferred her version over the produced cut. I have my share of being on the losing end of these battles myself. Someone’s gotta win and someone’s gotta lose unfortunately. It’s nice to see you today. Now to hop over to your place!
