Dance with Alex Clare on Mewsic Moves Me!

Thank you for including me in your Monday, kittens & dawgs! ? My friend, XmasDolly who puts on the Monday’s Music Moves Me linky party is a bit short-handed and I volunteered to co-host for as long as she needs me.

Steve shared War Rages On by Alex Clare last week and at first, I thought he was a new-to-me artist. After going through some of his mewsic it finally struck me the first time his mewsic sparked an interest and if his name doesn’t ring a bell then his hit tune from the box office flick Taken will resonate.

TOO CLOSE

Speaking of Taken, did you know there’s a TV series spin-off about to air on NBC on February 27th? Okay, this Monday morning I thought I’d share my discoveries of some of Clare’s purrfect tunes that put the groove in my move.

WHERE IS THE HEART
TREADING WATER
THREE HEARTS
I LOVE YOU

What mewsic are you listening to lately? ?

One more thing, if you’re the creative type and looking for more memes to connect with then Impulsive Artistry hosts the Monday meme Feeling Inspired? where you can share your photography, crafts, mewsic, and more posts.  Don’t forget to hop back for not-so Wordless Wednesday!

  1. I do like those Liam movies.
I always wonder after the soundtrack music.

This Alex does have a smooth voice. Nice introduction.

Have a blessed week Cathy! *HUGS*

    1. John, The one thing I like about these mewsic memes is you discover new good talent that you may not like to listen to all the time but when you happen upon it then it’s kinda refreshing and a nice welcome from the normal stuff you hear. 🙂

  2. Cathy, thanks for rockin’ the house today for sure, but I also want you to know that the theme today was chosen by Naila-Moon, and not Steve or inspired by Steve to the best of my knowledge. Naila is our Spotlight dancer which you know the Spotlight Dancer gets to choose our theme. Some of your tunes you’ve introduced to me and some are old memories for me. Love it! You go girl and have a wonderful tuneful week!j BIG HUGS!

    1. Marie, Oh, I know Steve did not come up with today’s theme. What I meant was, Steve inspired me with my song choices because I put together this post a week or two ago waiting for it to go live today. It was a huge coincidence that Naila Moon’s theme choice and the timing of this post (A British blogger reminding me of a British artist)worked out beautifully! Hopefully this makes more sense in the way my mind is working or then again maybe it not. lol Thanks for dancing over!

  3. Happy Monday, dear Cathy!

Thanks for letting me know about the new Taken spin-off series on NBC. I watched the trailer and it looks exciting. I like Jennifer Beals, the actress who made a splash in Flashdance, later starred in The L Word, and appeared in one of my favorite movies The Last Days of Disco.

I enjoyed this morning’s concert by British alt rock and blue-eyed soul man Alex Clare. My favorite songs of the bunch were “Three Hearts” and “Treading Water.”

Thanks again, dear friend Cathy, and have a wonderful week!

    1. Tom, thanks for pointing out that Alex Clare is a British musician. The reason is that’s what this week’s mewsic theme is for Monday’s Music Moves Me (I’m filling in as co-host) but I rarely wait to get the theme since I do my posts ahead. I really lucked out on this one, didn’t I? lol Jennifer Beals is a good actress and we saw her in Flashdance. That might be the first thing we ever saw her in and then it seemed she just disappeared. Of course, she’s been in TV shows for more than a decade now but many of them I haven’t seen. I didn’t realize until this morning that Jennifer (2-years younger than me) and I almost have the same birthdate. I’m a bit eager to watch “Taken” as well as the new 24 series. Thanks for popping over for a visit this morning, my friend. Have a good day!

    1. Michele, thanks! I found the image on Google and decided to use it as a wintry theme for my Mewsic Moves Me posts. Have a good week and thanks for stopping by! 😉
