Crank Up the Volume with 4M

SMOKE ON THE WATER Deep Purple

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me 110th edition! This week’s theme is music which makes you “Turn Your Radio Up” pick. This means simply, you share whatever tunes you got stuck inside your head or just those that are stirring your soul to boogie. It’s time to get this party on.

I’m not what you call a metal kind of rock n’ roll girl, but there are some classic electric pieces like Deep Purple’s Smoke on the Water that one cannot deny the pleasure it brings to totally fall into the groove of those sound waves at 120 decibels.

Crank up the volume on your computer speakers this morning, as you listen to these….

I WISH I HAD A GIRL Henry Lee Summer

WE’RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT Twisted Sister

SHARP DRESSED MAN ZZ Top

Was that fun or what?  Don’t contain your electric experience, shout it from the tree tops to all of your musical friends to come join party each Monday.

  1. something weird just happened.
anyways, the Henry Lee Summers song, never heard of it before. The shoulder pads were really something weren’t they?

  2. Smoke on the Water. Sweet.

That song reminds me of high school. Back then, I had a friend tell me Smoke on the Water is THE song everyone learns to play. Must be true because every person I know who plays guitar can play those chords, including my husband. lol Funny enough, that same high school friend is still playing in a band today. I love when people live their dreams. 🙂 Thanks for a great pick and that trip down memory lane. 😉 Have a great week!

  3. Ooh… love your choices! I don’t usually hear any on my local radio station but I would definitely turn them up! Classics one and all!

  4. Oh yeah, Smoke on the Water is definitely a turner upper! Twisted sister OH YEAH definitely! Some great choices here my girl! TURN IT UP! LOVE THEM ALL! As usual YOU ROCK!

  5. Oh, I was so going to use Smoke on The Water too! Deep Purple is actually one of the bands to hold a record for being the loudest. I tried not to go with the obvious ones this week.

Loved the Wish I Had A Girl one! Have not heard that in ages – that was so great!
