Children's story character names in song titles

My pencil sketch from the 2017 A to Z Challenge, the year my artist passion exploded!

Welcome to Monday’s Mewsic Moves Me!  March’s honorary co-hostess slot is filled by a first-timer, Marie from Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty. Her first song theme for March is for Fun Facts About Names Day. Pick songs that have a NAME in the title

Before I get things going let me mention there’s been a theme change on the 16th for those like me who like to prepare posts ahead.

Okay, moving…Today’s theme got my brain to whirling and I managed to put my spin on today’s prompt. I’m not only going to share with you names in song titles but children’s story character names in song titles

Story Character Names playlist tracks:

  1. Jack and Jill Raydio
  2. Thumbelina Danny Kaye
  3. In Search of Peter Pan Kate Bush
  4. Cinderella The Sonics
  5. Tom Sawyer Rush
  6. Return to Pooh Corner Kenny Loggins
  7. Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron Royal Guardsmen
  8. Charlie Brown The Coasters
  9. Humpty Dumpty The Vogues
  10. Mary Had A Little Lamb Paul McCartney

DISCLOSURE…this is a mewsic linky party, which means all participates are sharing songs that one can listen to from YouTube or Vimeo and a not a post about mewsic or mewsicians.  Failure to meet this basic guideline puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.

I’m undecided on how to pursue the next few weeks as I prepare for April’s blog fest. I don’t like cutting things too close for comfort but then I don’t want to short change my daily blog routine, either. So what do I do? I don’t know but hopefully I’ll have the energy to share some giggles tomorrow for Tickle Me Tuesdays.

Have a boogietastic week!

X💋X💋, Cathy

  1. Imaginative take on the name theme. I hadn’t heard the Jack and Jill song in forever and I enjoyed hearing it it – also hearing Danny Kaye and Snoopy and the Red Baron again, after all these years.

  2. Hard to come up with names from Fairy tales but you did well and love seeing Danny Kaye here with Thumbelina. You drew a great picture of Jack and Jill. You captured their fun before they went tumbling down

  3. Those were very fun songs, CK, we liked Tom Sawyer, didn’t know that song, but it’s great, not what we expected on your list… though…MOL…Your sketch is lovely too and the quote Magnificent😸Pawkisses for a Happy…Tuesday🐾😽💞

  4. Oh my gosh, my favorite movie with Danny Kaye. Love him to pieces & Thumbelina is my favorite in his movie. That movie made me cry. Very cool my friend. There’s so many I’ve never heard like the one by Paul McCartney too! YOU HAVE ROCKED THE HOUSE GIRLFRIEND! Thanks for a boogie tastic trip down memory lane. BIG HUGS

  5. I love Return to Pooh Corner Kenny Loggins! It is one of my favorite songs, especially with the backing vocals provided by Amy Grant.

  6. I love your sketches and I love that video. Way cool.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs. ♥

  7. I have to admit that Snoopy & Charlie Brown are my favorites here but only because the cartoon characters are among my favorites. I was hoping there would be a song with Calvin & Hobbs in the title. Have a blessed day.

    1. Driller,

Snoopy & Charlie Brown are some of my favorite cartoon characters, too. I did a quick Google search that yielded little to nothing with Calvin or Hobbs as a possibility or at least nothing that interested me in the least. That would be an interesting cartoon characters to use in song, though. Thanks for dropping by the dance floor, my friend!

  8. Thanks for inviting us to this fun blog hop! We hope you like our picks 🙂

That’s a great list you have and we don’t think we’ve heard any of those. Even the Paul McCartney one!

    1. Athena & Marie,

You’re most welcome. We’re so happy you decided to give co-hosting a try. Your first theme was a lot of fun to pull together an it’s been equally fun this morning making rounds to listen to what everyone is sharing on the dance floor. I like how you used tunes in your set featuring y’all names. I almost went that way but I remember having done that a few years back and so I took the route that I did this time. Thanks for boogieing with me today, my dear!
