The opening video has great visualization for this week’s theme Celestial as in the sky/outer space or belonging to or relating to heaven or relating to anything supremely good/beautiful. I borrowed the idea from our furriends Stippie and Peachy at Angelswhisper2011. I think it’ll be fun to see/hear the direction you take with today’s music prompt. Whatever you do, just have fun and if that means bending (or totally breaking) the rule so be it. 😉 Are you ready to get this party started?
The tracks one my inspired playlist I mostly liked the song titles. Some for sentimental reasons which you probably can figure with the first two since western North Carolina is one of our favorite places. We love spending time on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Night time wonders makes a person think about lots of things. I sometimes imagine all that vast glory painted across the sky being a small prelude to the beauty that waits for me in heaven.
I hope you enjoyed the tunes. You’re invited to join the linky party below. The 4M hostesses are found in my side bar. Every other week, we have a suggested music theme to build your song set around. Usually, participants share YouTube videos for our music enthusiasts’ enjoyment. However, theme picked music isn’t mandatory to hit the dance floor but failure to meet the basic guideline (post must contain music) puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.
On Wednesday, I’ll be back to report the outcome of my last BOTB. If you voted in it the you’ll want to see if your favorite cover artist is named the winner. This is CAAC signing off, have a boogietastic day. X💋X💋, Cathy

Quite a variety pack, all these songs from different genres-country, rock, pop. My favorites? Sarah Darling and Heart. Alana ramblinwitham
What a purrfect performance, starting with that universal sightseeing, filling in some very great songs, ending with Santana and leaving us with a fabulous quote…WOW! We not only enjoyed the tunes, but also hanging out with you, CK .Appaws appaws😸 Double Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead my furriend🐾😽💞
An awesome playlist and I love the kitty gazing at the starry sky. ❤️
I love the melody of the first one <3
Excellent choices. That was a fun theme. XO
Awesome post, top to bottom!
God’s skyart is stunning.
Huge Awww on the kitty in the evening. I love the skies- full of stars, the moon rising and every once in a while a falling star. Make a wish!
Such a cool playlist. Very nice. Thanks for sharing it.
I like the playlist.Sounds like you did the same thing I did: “Ah, dis looks good…and dis…and I haven’t herad dis in a while…” It worked well!
Awww that kitty is enjoying the universe. So precious.
Love your videos. I’ll play again at some point, but we’re so tried at the end of our remodel. Going to get our furniture back on Thursday and then repopulate our dressers. So tiring.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs. ♥
That’s quite a playlist, I love it
Cathy I enjoyed this so much. You have such a way of bringing music to all of us.
I only got to Keith Urvan and the rest I couldn’t play because the video after Keith is not available in my country. Sometimes we need the heavens to guide us or lend an ear. I love the pussy cat.
Just an absolutely Aww…some playlist. I was a fan of the Marshall Tucker Band back in the day. Scotty McCreery has a pure country voice and the additon of Allison Kraus is such a wise choice. Halley’s Comet is a beautiful tune and I am all in for anything Santana. Well done, really well done.
Hi, Cathy!
Happy Paw-some 4M Monday, dear friend! I hope you and DH had a nice weekend.
Awww…. I just wanna sit next to that kitty and do some stargazing with him. That’s a marvelous image!
I enjoyed the opening tune and video that takes us along on a midnight drive on empty roads with glimpses of the starry sky, celestial wonders and shooting stars. It was a peaceful and restorative ride.
I also love you set of songs that deal with this week’s theme. The song by Marshall Tucker Band is new to me and perfect for someone like you who has spent so much time exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains. I also enjoyed the tribute by Scotty (ft. Alison) to the folks back home and the region he loves and misses (and that you and DH know and love) the Carolina mountains. Halley’s Comet by Sarah Darling, the country singer and songwriter from Iowa, is a beautiful song and story. As you know, I am particularly fond of female vocalists, and appreciate you including Sarah along with Kate “KT” Tunstall, the latter a Scottish alternative and folk rock singer, songwriter and musician. KT’s “Crescent Moon” is another beautiful song! I appreciated Keith Urban’s country rock song with clever wordplay and a stylized title reminiscent of Prince: “Even the Stars Fall 4 U.” Whenever I hear a Tavares song such as this disco hit, “Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel,” I am reminded of the day in the mid 70s when I drove to Maryland to a discount stereo dealer and bought my first really good stereo system. Tavares records were the first ones I listened to on my new stereo. “First Kiss on Mars,” “Lights Of Heaven,” “Rockin’ Heaven Down” and “Somewhere In Heaven” are more great rock sounds and songs suitable for this 4M theme category, the latter, by Santana, beginning with a memorable and inspiring soundbite from a speech by Martin Luther King. The vocals of the song are provided by Scottish singer and musician Alex Ligertwood.
I thoroughly enjoyed this set of songs about the celestial wonders in the heavens above. I’ll be back on Wednesday to check the final score in your latest BOTB. I have a feeling I’m on the losing team this time. 🙂 In the meantime, I invite you over to Shady’s Place where I am currently presenting a sneak preview of another new series. Have a wonderful week, dear friend Cathy!
