How are y’all today? This is my Tickle Me Tuesday time slot for those new to CAAC and for most y’all know this is my 7th year to participate in the annual event A to Z Challenge blog fest.
Today’s illustration is inspired by Gil Elvgrn’s “Sheer Comfort painting” for Brown & Bigelow in 1959.
In keeping with my flirt theme, I found a new-to-me song “Call Me” by Carly Pearce. Do you like that flirty tune? It has a cool vibe. Thanks for joining the fun with me today, let me point out all previous A2Z posts are listed in my side menu this month, so you won’t miss a thing. Don’t forget to leave your footprints (direct URL) in comments so I can find my way back to you easily. I hope you’ll come back again tomorrow for another illustration in Cathy’s Pinup Girls Art Sketch Series. Have a wonderful day!

😀 Love that kitten in the vending machine pic. 😀
I say, she’s quite something! As for cat funnies – brilliant!
I love your flirty girl sketch, Cathy! And yes, love the cat funnies. Our new cat is most entertaining, but we have to watch her when we walk. Stay cool, stay safe and stay well. 🌞
Look at that flirty girl! Oh that tight stomach for me is long gone lol…but I do still have the garter and stockings! Great job!!
Rain,
I don’t know that I ever had a tight stomach and definitely don’t have it now. Even when all of my excess weight is gone, it still doesn’t look like this gal’s. 🙂 I guess the only way I’m going to have one is to have a tummy tuck and that’s not going to happen, so I have to be happy with getting to a point that makes me happy.
Flirt is right! Great job.
MOL, we love the “cat in training” cartoon!
Purrs & Head Bonks,
Alberto
Alberto,
The ‘cat in training’ cartoon is great stuff. The cartoonist really has a grand sense of humor.
She’s definitely flirtatious.
Your sketches are always so amazing to me. Great music to accompany! Take care and see you tomorrow!
Kathe,
I’m glad you enjoyed my art and the mewsic!
Very nice drawing! I like the pencil sketch and the clorized version….
I love the one with the kitty in the vending machine…
Betty Grable, eat your heart out! This is a great drawing of her legs and her nice flat stomach. I love her look as well. You captured the naughty well. The funnies are funny…the cat with the coffee mug is good and the poor tuxedo stuck in the vending machine. He is so cute and leave it to a tuxedo to get into trouble. Have a great day and stay safe.
Hi Cathy, lovely sketch, the pencil sketch is beautiful and the bright colours with a subtle background looks great. I really liked the”call me” song.
Birgit,
So, are you saying Elvgren used Betty Grable for his painting? If so, then I didn’t know that which is super cool to know. Thanks! Thanks for popping by for peek and some giggles, my dear!
Your art is most wonderful and those funnies sure are too!
Ahh, you’re too kind Brian. Thanks!
Bwahahahahahahaha. Cats rock.
I love this sketch. She’s beautiful.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Great job on the drawings. I love the kitty cartoons. XO
Ellen,
I knew you’d appreciate the cat humor. 🙂
Ah, everything i need to bring a smile this morning, funnies, your wonderful illustration, and music. Thank you!
Thanks, Mimi!
Hi, Cathy!
Happy Tickle Me Tuesday and “F” Day to you, dear friend! Right off the bat I laughed and nearly sprayed my screen and keyboard with coffee when I saw the “Cat in Training” cartoon. A little while ago in the pre-dawn darkness, I fed the black stray cat that lives on our property. He is always grateful, but has a bad habit of rubbing back and forth against my legs, making it hard for me to avoid tripping over him. Your flirty pinup girl is a cutie. Her torso is appealing and I like the way her hair is tied in a ribbon. I also appreciate the blue and red colors in the composition. The release of the annual Brown & Bigelow company’s calendar was eagerly anticipated by fans of pinup art because it showcased pinups drawn by Elvgren and other artists. Yessum, I enjoyed the flirty song by Carly Pearce, a country zinger from Kentucky who’s been selling a lot of records in the last few years. I appreciate how she uses her vocal instrument, shifting up and down. She’s a talented singer.
Thanks for the laughs, smiles, glamour and good mewsic, dear friend Cathy. Have a safe, happy and healthy day!
Tom,
That funny is quite hilarious. The first time I saw it, I nearly did the same thing. lol Cats are notorious for trying their best to tangle your feet up. Several years ago that’s what happened to my childhood BFF’s mom which sent her down some stairs resulting in a broken hip. That sounds so horrible. Bless her heart it took her a long to recoup from that accident. Thanks for stopping by for some laughs and a peak at today’s pinup gal, my friend!
