The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of our favorite places to go for day trips. The Appalachian mountains are gorgeous year round and it offers a quiet break from the bustle of every day life. In 2014 I share this view from Little Switzerland Inn. Over the summer I decided to process it using the Brushstrokes app for that painting-like effect that I love so much!
This is the purrfect spot for a wedding. In fact one time while visiting, there was a wedding party setting up for a ceremony in this exact spot. If you checked out the link of the original photo, above, you’ll see what a lovely little place this is and why we love it!
A couple of weeks ago I used another photo from my 2014 Skywatch Friday share running it through Brushstrokes for my Songsational Sundays. Here’s the image without the Bible scripture.
I’d love to stay in the Little Switzerland Inn for a weekend. It’s a bit too expensive for our wallet at more than $100 per night for the main lodge but who knows maybe we’ll get wild and splurge a little. It’s only money and you can’t take it with you, right? 🙂
Join my #WildWednesdays linky party where just about anything goes! The concept for this mid-week blog hop was conceived as I found myself moving farther away from photography and more toward art. Of course, that’s not what this party is about. You’re invited to share anything – artwork, DIY projects, photos, music, musings, randomness, recipes, and more!
I’m linking with these Wordless Wednesday Communities… Sandee, Natasha, Marie, & Wordless Wednesday! 😉
That wraps things up for now. Tomorrow I’ll have a new illustration to share for this week’s ‘Eyes and Ears’ art prompt of Thursday Art Date with Rain. Have a wonderfully fun and WILD WEDNESDAY! X💋X💋, Cathy
