Over the summer I spent a lot of time scanning old photographs from our family volume of albums. It’s a job I put off way too long but am happy to have nearly all of it done. Today’s photo set needed a bit of cleaning up. The scanning process picks up every trace of dust or deterioration from the prints.
During one of our darkest times which felt even more glum then this pandemic was DH’s long period of unemployment. One of things we tried was to build a home-based business. We had some success and in the midst of one our advancements we squeezed in a family vacation after the training seminar in Boston. Finances were tight but we still had loads of fun. We were in Mount Desert Island mid to late October. Our timing was purrfect! We witnessed some breathtaking waves while at Thunder Hole. We stayed well enough away from the action but managed to get some of the ocean spray on us at the elevated height from where I took these pictures with an old 35mm point n’ shoot camera. The wind was pretty gusty making for a chilly and exciting experience! Out of a bad situation we found joy in visiting the Maine coastline on a shoestring budget packed full of fun memories for a life time. 🙂
With Covid-19 still a threat, we don’t like mingling with the masses. It’s a chore to protect oneself from people who do stupid things all the time. This will all blow over, hopefully with our health not being compromised, so for now when we want to take in God’s country, we’ll scroll through our photo archives to soak up His creation!
