Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me!

I have a few things I want to share before the party.  In my pursuit to tighten security and privacy,  I am doing away with unnecessary online accounts. I closed my Zazzle store.  The bottom line, I wasn’t making any money with it so why keep it.  I deleted two Blogger blogs with similar 4M URLs because of its buggie behavior, not wanting to work with my VPN and you have to have a gmail account to use Blooger which I’m trying to move completely away from them.  The last thing is, I changed my contact email. I’ve fixed some places on my site but I’m sure there are posts that have my gmail one.  Please update my address to cathyrkennedy@protonmail.com .

Now for some fun!  This week’s music prompt is…imagine you are putting together a four day music festival.  For each day you need a headliner, so who would it be (4 needed)?  You can include a couple of other artists if you want who would also perform.  Any genre; more than one genre if you want.  Living or dead.  Solo, duo, band.  Your festival, your choices!

💫This month’s spotlight dancer is Ramblin’ with AM!💫

I’ve only been to a few concerts in my life.  I’m not too sure how successful my music festival would be with the the idea I used to build my playlist but I liked it and am featuring Lindsey Stirling.  What spurred my decision was the last video in my set featuring Evanescence’s lead singer, Amy Lee, and I thought why not use Lindsey as the primary headline act and let other artists be special performers?

4-Day Music Festival tracks: 1. Mission Impossible with the Piano Guys 2. Between Twilight dancing with Derek Hough (DWTS) 3.My Immortal cover 4. All of Me with John Legend 5. Radioactive Imagine Dragons cover with Pentatonix 6. Lose You Now with Mako 7. Voices with Switchfoot 8. Jekyll & Hide with Bishop Briggs 9. A Plague Tale: Requiem off Lindsey’s newest album Snow Waltz 10. Loves Goes On and On with Amy Lee

I hope you enjoyed the tunes. A few of Lindsey’s accompanying musicians I hadn’t heard of before now.  I’m assuming they’re established artists that I’m unfamiliar with. Can you imagine that, me not knowing who a band is? I know, right? LOL

My fellow co-hostess can be found in  my side bar below the 4M banner. I invite you to join the linky party below.  Every other week, we have a suggested music theme to build your song set around.  Usually, participants share YouTube videos for our music enthusiasts’ enjoyment. However, theme picked music isn’t mandatory to hit the dance floor but failure to meet the basic guideline (post must contain music) puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.

4M design by Cathy Kennedy

I’ll be back to report the outcome of my March 1st BOTB on Wednesday.  I hope you’ll check out the results.  This is CAAC signing off,  have a boogietastic week!  X💋X💋, Cathy

  1. Oops – I just read my comment after it posted and my post says I went to a Lindsey Stirling concert last year. I didn’t. Should have rephrased my sentence. It would have been really nice, though. I remember her from AGT. Alana ramblinwitham

  2. WOW! What a festival! and that Lindsey Stirling brings in such great dance mewsic. You surpassed yourself again, my furriend😸Now come around and join our festival…it last a little bit longer than 4 days…MOL…Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead, dear CK🐾😽💞

    1. Stippie & Peachy,

Thanks for joining the party. I certainly will swing by to check out your mewsic festival but I think I’ll have to wait for first thing in the morning. It’s almost dinner time here. 🙂

    1. Mimi,

I don’t know too much about Zig Ziglar other than he was a Christian motivational speaker but I certainly like the quotes many of his quotes I’ve read over the years.:)

  3. Good for you, we degoodled a couple of years ago, that is one creepy company. I do love Lindsey Stirling though, she is a wonderful performer and a fabulous violinist.

    1. Brian,

Degoogling is a process. It’s going to time to get into the routine of using my new email address especially when I leave comments. I keep forgetting. smack forehead I love Lindsey Stirling, too. She’s amazing and what I found very interesting is, she was homeschooled which is super cool!

  4. GUESS WHO? I MADE IT! hahaha Thanks to you and Sandy! I was going bonkers last night. I thought I had it all in my head, but guess it was hiding! Bummer, but our friend Sandy came to the rescue. Gotta love her and you!!!! Thank you for your help dearest friend. I think I’ll start much earlier for next week… this staying up all night is just not gettin’ it. Well, I made it & that’s all that counts thanks to you and Sandee. HUGS, HUGS & MORE HUGS!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I love your video. I’ve seen her before she is soooooooo very talented!

    1. Marie,

I’m glad you found time to dance with me. Don’t worry about it. You’re going to get the hang of this and yes, try to work on your blog a little every day. Establishing a daily routine will help to get you mentally back into the game and you’ll pick stuff up again quicker. Blogging platforms are always making changes so it’s hard to stay on top of it all. I’m glad Sandee is able to get your site straightened out when you get stuck. 😉

  5. I love that little lady. She’s awesome. You made me say awww and laugh at the same time.

Love your playlist. Mission Impossible was brilliant.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs. ♥

  6. Such a cute little girl and I love her uplifting message. 🙂 Thanks for the heads up about your change of email. Duly noted! BTW, you don’t have to use a Gmail address to comment on Blogger. There is a Name and URL option.

On to the musicfest: That was outstanding, Cathy! 💖 Lindsey Stirling is an amazing violinist and pairing her with all of those different artists is so clever. I especially liked John Legend and Amy Lee.

    1. Debbie,

That’s good to know about Blogger commenting. Isn’t that something the blog author has to have set in order for it to work? In the past, it seems I’ve tried doing that and my comments disappeared, so I figured it was something wonky on Blogger’s part. I would’ve kept the Blogger 4M sites had Google allowed me to use any email address but it wouldn’t let me. When I have more time to research it, I may look further into it. I’m glad you enjoyed my concert pairing Lindsey with other artists. Thanks for coming to the party and linking up!

      1. I’m not sure about other sites, but you can use the name and url option to comment on my BOTB blog. Try it out with someone else’s blog and see if it works. Blogger is still a bit of a mystery to me, in some respects.

        1. Debbie,

The author has to have that option enabled. For instance, I hopped over to Alana’s and she only has hers set for Google users. I still have a blogger account, so I looked at the settings on it and you have to opt for “Anyone can comment including anonymous” which supposedly allows you to pick your Google profile, anonymous, or use your name/url. That being said in the past it seems I had an issue with that but I just did a test on your blogger site and it appears to work. 🙂

        2. Thanks for clearing that up, Cathy. I don’t have any type of comment moderation enabled at this point, and haven’t seen any spammers, so far. Fingers crossed! 🙂

        3. Debbie,

I’m glad you said this, I think I will turn on moderation on my blogger site that’s still active. I’m not posting on it right now and I certainly do not what spammers abusing it. I’m glad I clarified the commenting issue a bit. Blogger definitely isn’t my favorite freebie site. I’m thinking about testing out some other platforms just for the fun of it when I get time and then perhaps do a review. 🙂

        4. Blogger definitely has its limitations. The main thing I like about it is, they let you make changes to the css and HTML for free. Can’t do that with WordPress. com! Maybe Wix is better?

        5. Coding on the backside of my blog isn’t something I do much of, so for now that’s not an issue. I did see Wix when I did a quick look. That’s one I want to dig into a little just for curiosity sake. 🙂

        6. Weirdly, the box for new comments appeared in the middle of your comments, so I hope this posts correctly. Lindsey Stirling performed where I live last year so I had the chance to see her but I’m not a big fan of indoor concerts. I like her, and I’m happy you picked her for your festival. She’d be a big draw. My favorite videos were Radioactive and the Plague ones – since I enjoy dystopian literature maybe that made sense. I also wanted to comment on commenting and Blogger. I changed my Blogger blog’s settings to Google users only because I got so many spam comments otherwise. I know that prevents some from commenting on my posts and I wish I didn’t have to do that. Blogger doesn’t offer many tools to deter spamming, as you know. (I’ll also add that I get legit users in my spam comments area nearly every day, which is a big pain.) Alana ramblinwitham

        7. Alana,

I’m not sure what you mean about the comment box. Is it doing something that it normally doesn’t do? Lindsey Stirling is an amazing talent and definitely would draw a huge crowd. I’m super happy you enjoyed my pick. I had no idea how to pull together a 4-day music festival but it seems everyone has liked how I did it, so I guess I did alright. 🙂

I figured the reason you or other Blogspot bloggers who use the Google Users only for commenting was to keep spamming down. I totally understand. I don’t know if Blogger is any different if you pay for it but the free version has limitations as most things that are free. Don’t worry about it. I get it. What about enabling moderation, does that keep spamming down? The reason I asked is the Blogspot account I have, I have one blog attached to it. I’m not ready to get rid of it just yet because I have several posts published there and I’m deciding if I really need to keep it. Anyway, I changed it from “Google Users” to “Anyone” can comment plus I turned commenting moderation on to try to keep spammers from bombing it. We’ll see how it goes. Thanks for stopping by to dance with me, darlin’!

      2. I love her and had no idea who shecwas until I saw her on DWTS. She wad even told not to move by some moron when she was playing her violin. That video with Derek Hough is excellent and you know he choreographed it. It makes me wish for the times when musicals were big because he would be right in there with Astsire, Kelly, Dan Dailey, Michael Kidd, Eleanor Powell etc…. I love that lady one as well with the lady with the amazing voice. I’d see this concert

        1. Birgit,

I loved her on DWTS! She’s a natural dancer. Did you know Lindsey was on AGT and they told her there wasn’t place for what she does or something to that effect. Boy, did she ever prove them wrong! I love success stories like this, don’t you?

  7. Hi, Cathy!

Happy Awww-some 4M Monday, dear friend! I hope you and DH had a nice weekend.

Awww… that little toddler is so cute wrestling with negative and positive and vowing to choose the latter.

I can see that you are spending lots of time on “spring cleaning,” removing unwanted contacts across your social media platforms. That’s a smart move. I hate clutter in the house and in my alternate presence online. I will change your email address in my contacts.

In recent years, I have watched several Lindsey Stirling videos and have posted a couple at Shady’s Place. This is my first time watching “MI” and it delighted me. It is clever and funny. With so many set-ups, locations and brief bits of action, it’s like watching a Looney Tunes cartoon. Lindsey’s lush, elaborate, slickly produced videos never fail to mesmerize. They go far beyond a superb violin performance. They are highly entertaining, original, creative, imaginative fantasies. Lindsey is an artist in every sense of the word. “Between Twilight’ is also new to my eyes and ears this morning. It’s a lovely piece, Lindsey is not only a gifted violinist, she is a graceful dancer – acrobatic and beautiful. I’m beginning to wonder is she has any weaknesses at all, anything she cannot do and do well. The cover of the Evanescence hit is also new to me. Here again, I am amazed at all that goes into her video productions. They are filled with zest, fire and passion. The tags at the end of each video are the icing on the cake, because I can hardly believe the shy, meek girl politely thanking her fans for their support is the same dynamo of energy, talent and creativity I just watched moments earlier. It is also hard to believe that Lindsey will be age 37 later this year. She looks like a teenager. “All Of Me,” the song with John Legend, is beautiful. The Imagine Dragons song with Pentatonix performed amid the rubble and ruins is another terrific production with striking costumes. “Lose You Now” with Mako is a stripped down performance, but no less beautiful and powerful. “Voices,” featuring text printouts of the cruel, hateful, hurtful things people have actually written in comments about Lindsey and Switchfoot, shines a light on the ugly side of social media with all of its anonymous sniping and bullying. Years ago, in the 80s, there was a campaign called “Stop The Madness.” I am still waiting for the madness to stop. The last part of the video emphasizes the importance of tuning-out the hate speech and listening to the voices in our own heads, making sure that our own inner voice is our best friend and not our worst enemy. Presented in black & white, the Bishop Briggs collab is filled with drama. “A Plague Tale” is spectacular. “Love Goes On And On,” featuring Amy of Evanescence, is wonderful.

So, to sum it up, it turned out that all of these Lindsey Stirling songs and videos were brand new to me. I am awestruck by her talent and showmanship. It grieves me to know that there are people out there so jealous, so envious of her gifts, that they go out of their way to attack and tear her down. I admire Lindsey for shrugging them off and continuing to pursue her passion and practice her craft. She is unique and richly deserving of her success.

Yessum, I’ll be back to see you on Wednesday when you report the final score in your band battle. I have a new post starting tomorrow at Shady’s Place and hope you can stop by. Have a wonderful week, dear friend Cathy!

    1. Tom,

It does my heart good that you enjoyed my Lindsey Stirling concert. She really is a talented woman. There will always be haters in this world. We need to turn our ears to mute when those voices raise up because those people are jealous and it makes themselves feel good to tear another down. It’s horribly sad but true. I would’ve never known how shy Lindsey is had I not watched her on DWTS. The stage allows her to shine. She’s a talented musician, graceful dancer, blossoming actress, and get this she has a nice singing voice. Like you, I wonder is there anything she can’t do?

Thanks for updating your contacts to my new email address. When I leave messages on Blogger sites, I’m forced to used my gmail address so I guess I won’t be able to get away from that account completely. At least I made a good start. Thanks for dropping by for the concert. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!
